Yeah he's a gunslinger, he takes a couple more risks than you like, but he was also throwing the ball exponentially more than past QB's and over the middle more often than every other Heupel QB. Why? Because he's the smartest QB we have had under Heup. He also dealt with the worst run game we have had under Heup, let alone a ton of drops. Costly turnovers are horrible, but he made a ton of plays that put us in position to be a playoff team this season and I think would have been if he had a better run game and an actual defense.

And that is why we need a better QB if we want to compete for the Playoffs.

GMac is currently a beanpole that hasn't played a meaningful snap and Faizon threw for 118 in the state title game....sure they'll be ready for

Exactly! And I'm sure Heupel knows that too. No way in hell he runs a RS FR or a True FR out next year with that schedule.

Of course it's speculation.. It's a message board, that's what all this is.. Opinion based.. Anybody that says anything different is lying. NOBODY knows, not even Heupel on who will be under center game 1. We could pay 3 million for a QB, he blows his knee out and we're stuck with FR with zero experience. Knowing our HC the way we do now, not sure how anyone honestly believes he plans to start GMac or Faizon next year. Unless injuries dictate that. If I'm wrong, great. I'd love to have the same QB start 2-3 years.

Just like half the ones on here honestly believed GMac or Merk would start this year. Knowing Heupel, that was NEVER going to happen, yet some still believed it.

Point is, we were not a consistent team on either side of the ball. WE have made some decisions on the defensive side to help correct the short comings. We have not yet made any movement to correct the problems on offense. Both side have to improve for us to reach the playoffs.

Not even trying to be funny, 247 had Nico has the best quarterback transfer.

Carson Beck was number two

John Mateer 3

And the list gets consecutively worse.

Other notable guys they had above Joey include salter, Jackson Arnold, and calzada

I wouldn't take any of those guys over Joey. Maybe mateer before his injury but it would still be close

RB from UConn is entering the portal, if he hasn't already, and he ran for over 1100 yards last season. May need a look at.

If he has already been discussed, my bad. I wasn't going to try and catch up through 20 something pages.

I wonder how much of the inaccuracies were because joey didnt have 100% chemistry with the wrs on the choice routes

We had the #1 scoring offense in the SEC. The #2 passing offense in the SEC. Joey was a star.

Our defense was near bottom in multiple categories this year. With an average SEC defense we beat UGA and OU going 10-2 and to the playoffs. Defense was a failure.

I don't think will try to get a blue chip QB from the portal. Phaeton Freshman.Use the money for a safety or CB. Our offense will OK with Gmac and the Phenom Freshman.

You know this how? Did he tell you this? Also, I was talking about GMac sitting 2 years, not Faizon Faizon will get his chance to battle for the starting job in 27 and I feel confident he was told that.

It's NOT speculation, Hubbs and Price already said we were. There's no doubt we're getting one, you can't roll with 2 QB, Especially ones that have never played. Just a matter of it's i one to come in and start or to be a backup. Which my money is on one to start.
