Not sure what his religion has to do with it, but I think Bishop takes on more a workhorse load next season. He's earned it.

I disagree. Travis Stephens wasn’t anything special until his 5th year. His ball carrier vision improved and everything finally came together for him in his final season.

Huh?

Did you miss the entire 1998 National Championship game? His speed and hard running broke down the FSU defense. Travis Henry was getting STUFFED. Stephens and his speed made that defense adjust. It allowed Peerless to get that one on one with Mario Edwards.

Wright and Kamara are the only two that I would rank above Bishop. Maybe he is break even with Hardesty. He is better than the others mentioned in my opinion.

No. I’m talking about RB production over an entire season.

1998 yards per carry
Shawn Bryson: 9.5 ypc
Jamal Lewis: 6.8 ypc
Travis Henry: 5.5 ypc
Will Bartholomew: 4.9 ypc
Travis Stephens: 4.5 ypc

Are you that down on Peyton Lewis that you’ll argue he can’t improve as he matures, as many other RB’s have?

Bryson was the fastest running back we had and they played him at FB. His tackle of the turnover in the SEC Championship game was unbelievable.

I remember he was credited as being the fastest player on the Bills roster for years. Isn’t Peyton Lewis supposed to be our fastest player?

I wonder why Bryson was at FB and not somewhere he could get the ball more..

Haven’t seen the speed on kickoffs or at rb. I like an rb who’s got good shuttle and initial 10 yard burst. I do like him inside the 5 for his power.
Maybe in track Lewis gets cooking on his last 50 yards but you can’t take time to get ramped up on the field. Track speed is not game speed and UT fans should know that going back to Leonard Scott.

This is all true, but also sometimes a younger, greener player is a bit hesitant and not decisive enough to instantly explode thru a gap. So, maybe with more reps he can improve on playing quicker and better utilizing the speed that he does have. Dunno. 🤷

Bishop is a Solid #2, Lewis stinks and will likely transfer, Morris hopefully develops into a change of pace options, Baker is a waste of scholarship.

Can we dump Sims and get an SEC starting caliber RB please. Clearly, RBs are not lining up to play for this guy.
