Wow, what a revelation. What THEN can we make of the fans that have performed equally or worse as fans by selling out on this team? Make no mistake that is what many have done.

Coach addressed this on the Mike Keith show and he has not given up on attaining any of the goals, with losses to date. Don’t think no losses was ever one. Bottom line I am with Coach and the team.

Pick a side!

Uh huh. In 24 towards the end of the conference season they dug down and went on a tear, winning road games at Bama and UK to finish off a SEC regular season championship and then advanced to the EE. After finishing 4th in the SEC last year they advanced to the EE by dominating UK in the Sweet 16. WTF are you talking about?

Simply pointing out the teams have looked good early last couple years, this team has yet to gel which im hopeful will help us later in the year.

So just stop.

Stop what? "Barnes teams always peak early". We didn't in 24. We lost 2 straight games in a holiday tournament. We actually peaked from late February until the defeat by Purdue in the EE. We did achieve the no. 1 ranking last year prior to SEC play, but that was largely due to a less difficult pre SEC schedule. We peaked last year from the blowout at Florida up through the SEC and NCAA tournaments. Sorry, but that's the way the prior 2 seasons played out. Those pesky facts are undeniable

Really, you think a fan can justify those remarks on a public forum and sustain VFL status? Could a player or a coach? Not into double standards.

Acknowledging unacceptable results is for sure part of the deal, justifying it is not. Your post appeared to justify sorry fan behavior. Does not meet the I WILL GIVE MY ALL standard.

How one reacts to failure is key, venting as a response to mad is not a good look. Pushing for improvement because you are sad or even sick has a chance to be productive. Those that think the staff and squad cannot address bad play without their wisdom are what they are.

For one, the SEC is clearly down, so pump the breaks on the "Middle of the road" SEC talk.

Two, 2 years ago we lost 3 games in a row before the conference season started, and we ended up winning the SEC outright and made the Elite 8.

You can't be calling the whole season based on November/December.

I'm not going to go back and forth with you, ... holiday tourney in 24 lol, good grief. We're ranked #1 for 5 weeks for a program record early in 25.
Wipe that egg off your face and have a good day. : )

Just listen to CRB's comments and know he is telling you what he knows and the truth. It sucks to hear it at this point of the season but he has a handle on identifying the problem and will do what he can to fix it.

Some of you people hear the truth an still are not satisfied, complain and paint a concept of this must be the worse team we have had in years. Sad but true.

If anybody can fix it, CRB can, so play this game like a Marathon not a race. Talk about all this woe is us stuff at the end of the season. Barnes will figure it out and fix it.

Good grief, you are way too soft and have some internal need to be the hall monitor for posted comments. Nobody has to meet your criteria for being a Vol fan. Aren't there other venues you can troll for fun ?

All I said was the team hasn't played well so far, and you act like I've wrote a novel trashing them. Wow, BB fans can't stand even the slightest bit of criticism. What a bunch of mother hens

We’re not as good as that Houston team, but it’s important to remember that we can still fix this and right the ship. The SEC sucks this year, so if you beat Louisville in 9 days we could go on a nice run in conference play.

We certainly haven't played well the last 2.75 games. Seems like the poor play started with about 15 minutes left in the Kansas game. We played well up to that point, looking like a a top 5 team in that first half against Kansas. Lots of new players, with Barnes trying to figure out the right combinations for the meat of our schedule. Confidence was shot and we haven't recovered yet. Hopefully this 10 day open stretch has enabled Barnes and his coaches to narrow the rotations that will give us the best chance for success

Valid question - maybe because other teams did the same and the Illini has gelled earlier than everyone else.

I'll tell you this - I'll take our squad over Illinois every day and twice on Sunday., especially with Barnes at the helm. Illinois has made it to the 2nd weekend of the NCAA Tournament only once in the last 20 years.

The season is barely a month old and conference play hasn't even begun. Long way to go.
