Just a couple weeks ago, I read on here that this basketball team is special. Now that we've had a tough run against 3 pretty good teams, you're saying we're bad, the sky is falling, our AD is lost. You're even pulling baseball into this by saying the AD ran off TV and we don't know what we're doing. I know we have our opinions, but some of you all need a couple hot dogs and a miller high life.

Not sure how anyone could look at the last 3 games and still be excited about this season. They'll be lucky to be a middle of the pack in the SEC.. It's not hating on a team to be honest about how they are playing, which is not very good right now.

Good thing is there are 20+ more games to improve. No one’s ever won anything in early December.

Can I order some brisket and 2 fingers of bourbon instead?

I'm no coach and should probably stop right there.....nah.

The kid from Israel seems out of his depth. Estrella is the personification of General Hospital. Ament is turned inside out with how teams are working him. Given the body of work so far, I'm of the opinion that we need to see more of Brown, Abrams and that true freshman PG that Barnes is so high on.

Estrella is already and almost always injured and on the bench. Ament needs less minutes and maybe come in off the bench to reduce some of the pressure that's he's currently facing. Gillespie needs some time at the two and/or just some rest.

Brown, Abrams and that young PG might just be what we have to hang our seasonal hats on?

Agree completely on Brown and Abrams, two kids for whom the stage doesn't appear to be too big. Both are dogs with zero fear.

I'd love to see more Henderson simply because he's the one true PG on the roster. I'm greatly disappointed in Berg. I figured his age and pro experience would make him a steadying presence, but he's been a turnover waiting to happen.

I think the biggest criticism that’s fair at this point is roster construction. If we start playing better, do we still even have enough scorers/shooters to achieve this team’s ultimate goal? Doesn’t feel like it. Truly hope I am wrong.
You can’t make a good shooter over night … takes time . Least a season .difference I’im the game last night was they were draining there 3 s. . We could not

I’m not predicting a national title game appearance, but last year Houston lost to Alabama, Auburn, and San Diego State in November before going 31-1 in their next 32 games to make the national title game and win the Big 12 tournament.

We’re not as good as that Houston team, but it’s important to remember that we can still fix this and right the ship. The SEC sucks this year, so if you beat Louisville in 9 days we could go on a nice run in conference play.

The SEC isn't as good as it was last year for sure, but it's still at least as good as any other league top to bottom

Ament needs to (consistently) play like his star rating, Gillespie needs to return to his pre-Kansas form and Burg needs to start contributing like he's held a basketball before he came to Knoxville.

Get those things right and this season is more than salvageable. But pretending that the last three games aren't indicative of massive problems is nuts.

We (the fans) didn’t lose three games in a row, and look like poop in doing so. I reserve the right to re-evaluate my take at any time based on the latest information. And guess what, I don’t need your permission to do so.

I hope we win the regular season SEC and the SEC tournament. I’m not counting on either, however I’m still a fan and would rather we win vs not winning.

With that being said, RB is obviously near the end of his career. I would gladly trade an SEC title for a deep NCAA tournament run to the final 4, even if we don’t make the championship game. Thus, my focus this season is making the tournament and what we do when we get there, as a matter of fact, loosing a few games against top 20 teams in pre SEC season may take some pressure off.

In watching this team, I see a few things. One, it is very talented, however defensively this team is lazy. Way too many run outs from the other team. I noticed it in the Duke game first, and it was very apparent in costing us a chance in the Illinois game. If they can put it together, this team has the ability to make a run.

Should step up from the miller and have a bud

Early on, it seemed like good things happened when Henderson was on the floor. Right now they are playing like a team whose players don't know or trust each other. It doesn't seem the team has figured out who the leaders are. I think eventually someone will take the reigns but it may take a little while. I also think that Ament might be better off the bench.
