Washington DC Walters is a name to watch

Brother I hate to tell you this but there's a pretty good chance the Big 10 has passed the SEC. It's been trending that way for a few years now, and this year's playoff may indeed be the icing on the cake.

Indiana vs OU/Bama
Ohio State vs A&M (potentially)
Ohio State vs Georgia/Ole Miss (potentially)
Oregon vs OU/Bama if they get through Indiana

Should be fun to watch. If the Semifinal teams end up being Oregon, Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State - the argument over who has the best conference is over and the Big 10 wins.
On balance I think the SEC is still superior, but the upper echelon of Big Ten teams is likely superior to the upper echelon of SEC teams. It's just that their mid and lower tier is so, so bad.

😂 they’ve won the last two. But as a conference the SEC has had a long run. Big ten is very top heavy

it certainly matters. they are basically a bye week
Correct. There were 30-40 point spreads for some of those in conference games. How'd you like to be Indiana. After starting the season with Kennesaw St, Indiana St and Old Dominion, they also got Maryland, Purdue, UCLA, Wisconsin and Mich St. They beat UCLA by 50, Purdue by 53...Maryland by 45. That's like playing Bowling Green 8x. This doesn't happen in the SEC. I hope the SEC team that plays IU next week shows the Hoosiers what life is like in the SEC

Jayson Swain said because TN is seen as not playing complimentary offense, it is viewed as very challenging for the defensive coordinator. Will see how this plays out. Also thinks the DC should show more interest in recruiting. Also thinks views of team as soft has to do with HC approach to Strength and Conditioning which needs to change now and how they approach practice being more physical.

Swain always tells it like it is. He knows

I think that reputation is outdated. How many times did we complain that Heupel pulled in the horns and ran the ball too much in the second half? Heupel possibly plays complimentary football to a fault

We didn’t go nearly as fast this year. Defense just needs to get off the field more often and not give up the lead 4-5 times a game. Not too much to ask. Allowing 7-9 minute drives are more mentally and physically draining on a defense than the offense scoring a quick td will ever be anyway.

Yep. Been yelling it from the rooftops....teams reflect the coach. It begins and ends with Heupel. Just hope if Walters is hired, that he's legit. Know he has ties to Heupel, but I'm just not that confident in Heupels evals in coaches either. Got this nagging feeling it's more comfort than actual coaching talent. Someone talk me off the ledge.

This is one reason the numbers are skewed (IMO) when comparing Banks to other DC's
