I don’t know….I don’t think anyone knows Heupel’s pecking order. Knowing the head coach a little bit, he doesn’t share so this strong push to insist Walters is done goes against his history. Now it may be him in the end but he passed up going to John Henderson’s HOF induction to keep working on the hire today. Thats what I got right now.

On JH having plan B/C
B&C? My post to me would indicate that Walters may or may not be A. Nobody has said Walters is option A. That’s been a narrative pushed by people on X or message boards that he was the top target…imo because of his history with him. I have multiple people pushing that isn’t necessarily the case so I don’t think it’s a lock that he is at the top of the list.

I don't believe they actually said this.

All the other conferences would have to do is pass a memorandum that they only play within conference structure and Notre Dame would be forced to jump in somewhere. But Notre Dame surely isn't that stupid. Their TV deal playing second tier schools would just as quickly get ripped up.

Yea, because coaches never coach others teams while also being the coach elsewhere or talk about getting wooed about another school while leading another one into a CFP playoff…

Very odd situation

VQ guys don’t think it’s Walters but not ruling him out

Nakos and Bob_247 thought Walters but haven’t said anything since yesterday

Apparently JH wants this done by Friday, which would rule out Walters bc of his game Friday in theory.

Of course some do but there are also plenty who don’t. There are just as many coaches who wait until after their season is over before they say or do anything.
