Why to get screwed by the SEC office like everyone but UGA and Bama,
Or the Big 10 office if you’re not Ohio st or Michigan.

Here’s what really should happen:
All conference’s are gone.
One office, one commissioner, board of directors
8 - 8 team divisions , winners of each division goes to playoffs.

G5 have their own playoff .

No vote, no committee, no debate

Don’t hate divisions at all.

Until then, they should have to join a conference.

won't happen.
not a perfect world

Wiith around 75 million Catholics in America and a good percentage of them probably fans of Notre Dame (many with deep pockets), I don't see them ever wandering in the wilderness for too long.
And that is unfortunate.
ND should be penalized for not being in a conference AND no big wins to show.

Tired of ND cruising into CFP consideration with a mediocre resume.

Another offensive facemask in the green bay game, for those who say we're the only ones who get called for that.

bowl system likely not alive 20 years from now. bowl system started dying out when teams allowed those expecting to go to the NFL to opt out as to not get injured in a 'meaningless' game

"The bowl system we know now is offically dead," a bowl executive told @On3sports. "RIP. It was a nice run while it lasted."
when that happens.....it'll be time to get rid of all conferences. do the division thing like the NFL does and @GVol1966 said, but make it regional.

again. too easy.

20 years? How about 20 months lol.

Teams are taking 6 figure fines as preferable over playing in them. In the transfer portal era, it doesn't make sense. Schools are losing money in them. Teams like ND rightfully don't want to get embarrassed when half their team opts out like FSU a few years ago. And pretty soon, sponsors will realize fan interest is so low they can't make any money from them.
