It’s early. That said, 3 straight losses, including 2 to some pretty mediocre teams, isn’t a great sign.

Syracuse might be mediocre.

Kansas is not mediocre imo. They have 3 losses to ranked teams (UNC, Duke, UConn).

Did it occur to anyone that this is the 10th game with an entire new roster.

kansas was grown dudes, and so was illinois.

We shouldnt have lost to Syracuse.

Team has to be more physical, team needs a leader who cam take over, and play better defense.

They'll get better. Truth is usually in middle somewhere.

I 100% think Notre Dame should be in.

Lost by 3 at Miami (a CFP level team), and then by 1 to A&M a definite CFP team in their first 2 games.

Idk.....I think the market will correct itself eventually. HS players will be worth a lot less because of the unknown. Portal players will be a much higher price. Enough schools get burned on these high dollar highschool kids.....it'll fix itself.

Syracuse has losses to Houston, Kansas & Iowa State (who beat Purdue by 20+ at their place)

I wonder if Okpara and Carey playing together offensively might be an answer, at least in certain situations, using length and power together, might open up more outside for Gillespie and Ament.

Have to figure out how to build and reinforce confidence for Ament.

I agree with this Syracuse looks like a stout team.

And maybe we get it together, but it's not looking promising at the moment.

This looks like one of the worst teams Barnes has delivered at the moment.

This is a +20-win team imo. His first two seasons was a combined 31 wins. 2019/2020 was 17-14. I don't see this team as comparable to how bad those 3 teams were. Those teams could play their best game and it wasn't enough to beat most teams. We've seen the potential of this team already, they just have to figure out consistency and chemistry which takes time.

I think so too. Still early on Ament. He doesn't look as athletic as I would hope. Maybe he comes around .

Just keep going with those good loss and no good wins every year arguments because 10-2 SEC teams didn’t get in this year and with $ankey’s new 9 game SEC schedule a lot more SEC teams will be 9-3 next year and those teams with 2 good losses will get in over them…

I didn’t say I don’t like him. IU is about 19-0 against bad teams the last 2 years. They got trounced by ND in the playoff. It’s all for nothing if he can’t win a playoff game. They went and cancelled P4 OOC games and scheduled Howard and terrible teams. If you are great, don’t be scared.

Go back to the Grant strategy. Post Carey or Estrella up, and dare the guards to come inside the 3 point line. They aren't good at anything else, maybe the refs will send us to the free throw line 40 times.

I agree with all of this, but by this point in the season you usually know who the plug is going to be. I have no clue, and to be honest I'm not sure anyone is.
