7. Texas A&M

11. Virginia or Tulane (if UVA wins tonight)
12. Tulane or JMU (if Duke wins tonight)

People talk about the run bama had and one of those were us. And we aren’t that good. Decent but not a good or great win. They snuck in becuase they tied with AM and got a tiebreaker not based on a teams ability.

I agree. I hate the cheaters probably more than anybody. How can you let in ND or Miami when they were sitting at home doing nothing and penalize Alabama for being the second place team in the SEC. I would take 7 teams from the SEC which would include both Vanderbilt and Texas. No ACC team would get in.

I honestly just think it’s a crap precedent to be set that the team that was the best regular season team loses a game that the 3rd, 4th and 5th best teams didn’t even qualify to play in, but still go to the national playoffs without being one of the best two teams in the league over the season and not even being good enough to play in the conference championship game. I can’t believe this is that difficult a concept

No way they're kept out. Too big a brand too much money. Don't get me wrong, I want nothing but bad things for bama but I just don't see it. Plus you'd set a bad precedent with a championship game being a penalty.

Difficult to argue convincingly one way or the other without balanced scheduling. It is what it is.

They beat Georgia at home. The CFP doesn't need Bama but they beat Georgia.

I think no 3 loss team has any right to expect an invite, but a lot of people say losses in the championship game don't count. I respect that. I don't agree with it but I respect it.

You have to get 12 teams somewhere, so about 6 or 8 or those teams are not going to be all that good. That's just the way it is when you have to find 12 teams.
