From a legal standpoint, it's a penalty. It’s not a penalty. It’s an agreed upon clause in a contract that both parties signed.
Also heard IA St was looking at Candle from Toledo.Aside from the charity spot in the CFP there is bad news for Tulane today. If reports are correct, former Tulane LB Blake Baker, the LSU DC, has decided to stay at LSU instead of taking the Tulane job. TU said to be looking at whoever is the head coach at Toledo.
I wonder though how this is viewed in recruiting for other prospects? Does Georgia suffer for it (all for it)? I don’t see TN ever doing this. Can you imagine to uproar the media would have made if we sued Nico?Yep. These young people see NIL as the wild west. They think this is awesome and so much better than all the handshake money we got before. They can keep shaking hands with as many people as possible but ultimately do whatever they want and keep the money from every handshake.
Nope. Bad news for you. This is now being handled by the responsible adults in the room. Handshakes come with contacts. Contracts have obligations. Not suggestions. Buckle up and be prepared to learn how to act like an adult. You broke the contract. You owe the money.
I think we have talked before, but you pretty much live up the road from me if you live in Carrollton. I am in West Newnan. Our Carrollton Trojans heading back to GHSA championship game.
#1 Carrollton in the nation against # 7 in the nation Buford. Will be 33, 3-5 * players in that game. Going to be a good one next Saturday.
It may be a signal that the Tide is turning. I know we’re in the Era of big money and freedom for the players, and I hate pulling for Georgia in anything, but All the SEC schools have a lot to Gain if they win this one. Personally, I’ll throw up a Cheer if they do.From a legal standpoint, it's a penalty.
Depending on the language, It's doubtful UGA wins anything here (certainly not 390k,). I doubt they expect to win. It's mostly meant to be a detergent to keep other players from doing it.
you should never get to be associated with “normal people”Today is my last day to put on the uniform. This is my last weekend of Army National Guard service. Tomorrow is a Christmas Family Day so we will wear normal people clothes. 28 years seems like a blink of an eye when you get to the end of it.
I think the handshake money is still there although at a smaller scale.Yep. These young people see NIL as the wild west. This is why they need to recognize players as employees at this point. These are employment deals and NIL is “name image and likeness” in name only (pun intended), the NIL is really pay to play. The NCAA trying to pretend it is not pay to play has crated this insanity where contracts are not enforceable. From a legal standpoint, it's a penalty.
