'26 TX WR Legend Bey (Tennessee)

It was 50/50 already. Pope had been on him, as both heup and Austin price stated. Hartline leaving was all we needed. All the drama after is drummed up by OSU. We should stop talking about it, there’s no mom drama

You're describing classic manufactured confusion and our fans are playing a starring role to their surprise.

All I can see is Boo Carter II. Not the cancerous part, but a kid being somewhere he doesn't want to be. His heart and mind are somewhere else and he's just going the motions. Why graft a kid in that position into your offense when you know he's as good as gone in the next portal? Nah, let him loose and if he chooses to come to UT, great. If not, maybe he changes his mind after a year with OSU and decides to come back here a year older and experienced. Best of luck to the kid.
"All" implies that you have seen multiple confirmed things.

all you have actually seen is supposition, largely generated by OSU.

kid could drop tomorrow, but there isn't enough actual information out there to make declarative statements.

Bro regardless of what it is, it’s still drama. A family member posting OSU pics and saying he won’t sign to the school they want is… drama. Not sure what we’re arguing here
So if it’s true that it’s mostly OSU people stirring up the drama, we should let him go? That makes no sense. If that were the result fans of all hurt teams would do it.

Shoot, we do that with our own players and coaches frequently. Take a bit of truth, spin it into drama, and hope we replace the player or coach.

I’ve moved to a never share anything posture, as there’s no real benefit in doing so in a volatile environment. I’ll just say the situation is not exactly as portrayed, it remains fluid, and he may or may not end up here based on the next few days of conversations. Many of us underestimate the bonds formed during recruiting between recruits and potential teammates and other recruits. He was not forced into anything, but he’s definitely feeling pressure from many angles, and is confused. He’s not Boo. Let it play out. If he wants to be at OSU, we aren’t going to hold him back, but that’s not a foregone conclusion. This will get resolved quickly. No one wants it to linger.
Sounds like a 17 year old kid that got worked up 24 hours after ESD. This isn't anything remotely close to the Boo situation. For one, we aren't dealing with a nutjob parent. Best to let everything calm down and let some time pass and see how it plays out.

I will add, their fans are lurking here and screenshotting in real time. Worst ****ing bunch in sports.
Because most of them are fat a$$es that never played a sport that live vicariously through the only thing going in Columbus. I mean their job market is hot garbage which is why they move here wearing their silly pajamas they call gear that a 10-year-old would wear. They aren't relevant in any other sport. Football is all they have. I don't have the time or energy to go to another team board.

All will be settled when he has his 18th birthday. All is good until then. What will be is what will be.

His mom made him sign with Tennessee and he’s bitter about it. Wants to be at Ohio State. Turns 18 in 2-3 weeks, which is when he’ll likely request a release from NLI and if it isn’t granted he’ll hit portal in January
Sounds like there may be the possibility of family trying to double dip on the NIL.

I don’t think $ has anything to do w/ it. The kid wants to play ball for tOSU. It’s a great program that wins championships. The staff puts the players in position to showcase their talents for the NFL. Plus, huge tradition with strong academics and top tier facilities.

But, I still can’t stand Ohio st - 😂
