'26 TX WR Legend Bey (Tennessee)

Has anybody heard Bey or a family member utter a word on this situation? Seems like a minimum requirement to make an intelligent statement on this matter! Speculation is one thing, judgmental pronouncements are another while in the dark. One is useless the other worse.
Other than those Tik Tok Comments, which have been disputed (I don't know because I loath typical social media). 🤷‍♂️

I’ve moved to a never share anything posture, as there’s no real benefit in doing so in a volatile environment. I’ll just say the situation is not exactly as portrayed, it remains fluid, and he may or may not end up here based on the next few days of conversations. Many of us underestimate the bonds formed during recruiting between recruits and potential teammates and other recruits. He was not forced into anything, but he’s definitely feeling pressure from many angles, and is confused. He’s not Boo. Let it play out. If he wants to be at OSU, we aren’t going to hold him back, but that’s not a foregone conclusion. This will get resolved quickly. No one wants it to linger.
Sounds like to me he’s getting pressured and being made to feel guilty by OSU’s side for deciding to go with his initial gut and sign with us. He needs to look at who is pressuring him and who is not, and also were we pressuring him to flip before he did. Maybe he can glean valuable info from all of this as to who he should want to be developed by as a player and a young man.

I hope you aren't expecting to find any of those by people who are commenting on this situation.

I hope that OSU beats Michigan (so the natives up here don't go completely rabid) and loses their other 11 games until the sun becomes a red dwarf.

I just don’t understand why he didn’t just postpone the announcement, but instead went ahead and signed anyways.

Mom have a gun to his head?
It was 50/50 already. Pope had been on him, as both heup and Austin price stated. Hartline leaving was all we needed. All the drama after is drummed up by OSU. We should stop talking about it, there’s no mom drama

sittin on the dock of the bey, wasting time

Someone summarize for an old man who has a lot of work to do today??
His mom made him sign with Tennessee and he’s bitter about it. Wants to be at Ohio State. Turns 18 in 2-3 weeks, which is when he’ll likely request a release from NLI and if it isn’t granted he’ll hit portal in January

The war room basically said they don’t know what he’s going to do and there’s not any clarity right now.
All I can see is Boo Carter II. Not the cancerous part, but a kid being somewhere he doesn't want to be. His heart and mind are somewhere else and he's just going the motions. Why graft a kid in that position into your offense when you know he's as good as gone in the next portal? Nah, let him loose and if he chooses to come to UT, great. If not, maybe he changes his mind after a year with OSU and decides to come back here a year older and experienced. Best of luck to the kid.

I get that folks think him turning 18 gives him the legal authority to act on his own behalf. However, do any of you really understand the family dynamics he grew up with or the community around him? I know I don’t. But what I do know - it’s not going to be as simple as he does what he wants when he becomes a “legal adult”. This is going to be hard on him no matter what.
