Hypothetically, if not CJH, then who?

Whining=holding staff accountable for one of the worst losses we’ve endured in recent history. Got it. lol what a moronic take.

Einstein Vanderbilt just put together the greatest season in the schools history. And you gloss right over the defensive injuries this team has had this season. No one is happy but everything that got us beat Saturday is fixable. And if you don't like that then s..k it and pound rocks

Every team has injuries unfortunately. Banks D has been awful 4/5 years. We call that a pattern. And you’re right, they put together a great year. All while averaging 49th in recruiting over the past 4 years. Guess where we fall in those 4 years? 14th. They are doing much more with less and we’re doing much less with more.

That is the reflection of coaching and development. Heaven forbid we want those results. Shame on us. We should jyst “pound rocks” as you say.

Then find another team!

By hiring the wrong coaches that never had a shot. By spending half of whatever should’ve been. Shopping bargain bin hoping for a deal to hit. Doesn’t mean you should never fire another just because you’re scared. It means if you do you damn well better be ready to pay money and search for a good coach.

I'm not the one who is looking to fire someone every time we lose. Htf do you think we got where we were from 09-21?

I’m not advocating a coaching search this year. Not a good year for it. But I do still think we have seen the peak of Heupel. I know good and well they will continue to let him hang around here for at least 2 more years. Hopefully he shows he’s willing to change some things next year, but I’d bet good money against it.

Jim Bob Cooter.... Has been a really good NFL coordinator and VFL... Will be a hot commodity for an NFL job this upcoming year.. If he doesn't get scooped up I can see him a lead guy with Huepal on the hot seat... And yes he is on the hot seat next year losing to Vandy and a gauntlet schedule

And if it gets you off our side I'm in

Random thought here: Is Coach Heupel “Fulmer 2.0” without the benefit of the Majors era? Just think about it for a second. Coach Fulmer inherited a roster that coach Majors had built. It was a pretty solid roster. All Fulmer had to do was take it and run with it. Coach Heupel is having to build from scratch, so…takes longer.

Or is he building the roster for the next Coach Majors?

There weren't a lot of good players around when Majors took over as Battle's recruiting had dropped off significantly. Heupel isn't having that problem

12 game regular seasons started half way through Fulmer's tenure for comparison purposes. From that point in 2002, UT has EXACTLY 4 double digit win seasons in 23 years. 17 or 18 straight without a double digit win season. One of those 4 double digit seasons belongs to CJH.

I think it would help a lot of people here to realize that we have never been today's OSU, Bama, or UGA since Neyland's 3rd tour as coach. Where we are right now with CJH is as good as any place we've been before or since Fulmer. Period. Maybe equal to Battle and Dickey who were way way better than Majors, but not worse.

It was intermittent during the last years of the 2000s decade. We played 12 regular season games in 2003, but didn't in 04, 05, 06
