Hypothetically, if not CJH, then who?

If I understand correctly Jeremy Pruitt has completed his show cause and is now available.
Of we can't pay him enough to forgive, there is a coach of a small school our West by the name of Jones we could maybe hire.

I’m as pissed as the next guy, frankly this was
the worst of the 4 defeats we had this year. It’s bad to loose anytime, but to loose 3 at home this year?

Objectively, if CJH falls on his ass next year. I’m talking 3-4-5 wins, if a change is made, who is out there who would be interested? Are there any coaches who played at UT during the glory days who would be motivated by love of VFL and not just dollars? Frankly I don’t know of any.
Kiffin…LOL

Another sad part is that there isn't a single VFL being named. UT doesn't have a single up and coming coach that was a former player at UT. Jim Bob isn't being mentioned any more and Mayo has vanished.

I didn't know Bobby Wilder won a NC as a starting QB and a successful stint as Offensive Coordinator at a school in the Big 12 and SEC. Thanks for enlightening us
Guess beating Vandy wasn’t covered as a starting QB natty winner.

Seriously though, that’s some of the most flawed logic I’ve seen on this site. What does playing QB have to do with being successful coach in the SEC? I’ll tell you. Nothing.

Heupel is not going to fall on his ass. 8-4 will be his floor here.

At the end of the day, he's gone 38-11 in the past 4 years. Heupel is good enough to let the program slide to the depths of the SEC. The big concern for the next year is we are now going to go into a 5th straight season with a different starting QB. He either has to rip the bandaid off and turn it over to Gmac now for practices and the bowl game to see what he has or he has to go pay whatever dollar amount to find a guy in the portal has that has multiple years of eligibility left.

I think CJH will be here 2-3 more years.
Don't think so. He is who he is and the schedule gets real next year. I have zero faith in our evals, development and coaching staff.

I can easily see a 5-7, 6-6 record next year and that will certainly impact recruiting. Watch for a couple of defections in this years class and some major movement in 27. Bloom is off the rose.

Good grief guy. How much time does one need? We’re in Year 5 ffs, wake up to reality.
Yep. Get ready for the Pruitt penalties to be used as an excuse. Think we get dinged a couple of ships per year and that is devastating to an 85 man roster dontcha know. Plus those critical unofficial visit restrictions just cripples our recruiting.

Plenty of good options. Brian Kelly or James Franklin should have been scooped up by Florida when they went looking for a coach.
