But you also have to factor in bad holds. A holder has 1 job. A longsnapper has 1 job. The kick is a product of the first two. A good holder can clean up a bad snap a lot easier than a good kicker can clean up a bad hold.

We don't see the bad snaps or bad holds as easily or obviously as we see the bad kicks.

Max had some misses that were on him this year. Without a doubt. But I still contend that the Georgia miss was a bad snap and a bad hold. The ball was tilted awkwardly and the kick wasnt even close.

I feel like we didn't do enough amidst all the coaching chaos to raid some upgrades from other schools' classes.

We're still restricted to 83 scholarships right now.

But the number for 2026 should grow to 105 total (no walk ons) and we'd still have the 2 scholarship restriction.

So 103 on scholarship... this year we entered the season with 82 and I think with some folks leaving it's down to 80.

That's without counting graduating seniors or our own players that hit the portal...

In other words this class could be one that's very large since we will be pushing to reach 103 players.

Fantastic recruiting class and exactly what we needed. Now can we PLEASE upgrade the backend of this defense in the portal? Upgrade everywhere you can.

I hope the Vandy abomination was the wake up call Heupel needed. Kick start that fire in him. We’re bringing in a ton of talent, and can’t let that talent go to waste.

Back counting has been gone for a bit. They only limit total spots per year. Classes have no more limits if you got spots. Think that was part of transfer portal changes.

Hard to say where exactly we end up, but based on the last 3 years, this already looks to be a locked-in top-8 class. 6-8 most common as long as we merely sign our remaining soft commits. If we grab 1 or 2 big transfers/flips, top-5 should be a lock, even top 2-4 is in-scope, though a good jump to make.

The best class in a long time, in modern standards - the best under 247 composite.

A better average than UGA, in the most talent rich area there is.

But y'all get back to firing all those folks, yessir
