if I'm Mississippi State I'd be more than mildly concerned that Ole Miss is calling Jeff Lebby.

He hasn't won big but major improvement in quality of play. Did get the big win over #12 Arizona State this year. Was the OC at Ole Miss under Kiffin a few years ago.

We can be patient. With the schedule set up for next year, it will be very clear
which direction the program is going. I think JH has the chance to right the ship
if he makes some major changes. No changes will most likely mean a disastrous record next season.

With no defensive coach and portal upgrades 4-8 is very possible. We went 8-4 with a breeze of a schedule this year. I think major upgrades have to be made just to reach 8/9 wins again with next years gauntlet schedule.

WR’s were streaking open all damn game. Joey had the worst game of his life and our oline didn’t hold up well either. I was at the game there was probably a dozen plays we had Matthew’s, Staley or brazzell open 20+ yards down field. At one point Matthew’s and Staley were both open and instead Joey rolled out and got tackled for no gain. Staley turned around and threw up his hands

One constant during Heup’s tenure = WRs will be running open.

Now, does the OL hold up? Does the QB see them? Who knows.

But dudes are always open.

And the year after that what did he field? And what did his coaching career look like after that? And how did he do @ his only other DC position after Miss St (USF)?

He went from high major DC to position coach to mid major DC to arena football football position coach (is that what Birmingham stallions are?) to mid major position coach to defensive analyst.
