Most of that was on defense though right? As much I stress the need to make staff changes, I really think the biggest issue this year was basically standing pat on the roster last offseason. We were way too content with too many holes in the upcoming roster. We also allowed the roster to be too inexperienced, as a whole.
Hopefully this lesson was learned.
The guy had Jakobe Thomas on the bench last year. Now Jakobe is about to be rd 2-4 pick. I guarantee Thomas left after spring because he was splitting time with Farooq, while Turrentine was the unquestioned starter at the other spot. Banks is terrible at everything. Imagine watching Turrentine and thinking that’s your gold standard at the position. Imagine watching film on the Ohio state game in the playoffs and coming out of it thinking you don’t need to upgrade the back end of your defense. Literally, don’t even attempt to bring in anyone. Hood basically fell in our lap in the summer.I don't think you can do an employee review for Banks and find any reason to keep him that outweighs the bad.
Yutes & injuries. Does that outweigh how he schemed games, his poor adjustments, poor player fundamentals, etc?
Yes, it’s been going on for years. Heup has called attention to it repeatedly (sometimes for weeks on end) but the networks, our fans, and “our” media ignore him and ignore what is in plain view. It must feel like being in a sci fi horror movie to him. That Purdue bowl game where PI & Defensive holding was allowed every pass play was pretty damn annoying.
Why our DL gets held without calls is baffling too.
It was like 4th and 40 at KY and he let will the mayoboy levis convert. He reminds me of a dumb QB. He knows the plays and does good things sometimes, but then does some of the dumbestpossible. It's like he can't think when the lights come on. Completely crashes out when the pressure cooker starts whistling.
I don't understand why we didn't have perlotte glued to Pavia's hip all game long.
I remember being so disgusted with him when we gave up a 3rd & Mountain City with AC and his double turf toe 25yds deep in coverage.
Your ignorance would be funny if it wasn’t so sad!I'm 33 douchebag and I live and breathe this stuff. You use it as an excuse to drink in the morning and yell at your friends and family on Saturdays. We are not the same.
We were over punished given all of our cooperation, but nowhere near the death penalty. That's a bit of hyperbole.![]()
