But we probably won’t, and what sucks is that this season ultimately has been a nothing burger. The wins have been fun, and I’ve loved seeing Joey play, and I’m grateful for everything he’s given us this year. But we failed to beat any good teams, and we failed to get any signature wins. We regressed on defense and didn’t have any wins that truly made you say “wow, holy ****, what a performance.”

After the hell we went through in the 2010s I’ll cherish every win we get. I hope we win our bowl game and finish 9-4. But this season has turned into a wet fart in general after a strong start.

It’s obvious we’ve hit a ceiling with the status quo. Some aspects of the staff and roster have to be improved if we want to take the next step and be a title contender vs. just a consistent bubble team.

One thing I’ve noticed is when he takes a big hit it affects what he does the rest of the game.
