Turning my attention to 2027 recruiting (and 2026 portal recruiting).

This should be another outstanding class.

Obviously, the #1 want/need is DGG at RB. But after that, it's hard to say. One great thing about where we are now as a program is that we're not recruiting as much to needs as we once were....we're just trying to stockpile talent. Go get the best players you can get regardless of position. That's a very different place than we've been in during the first 4-5 years of Heupel's tenure.

I couldn't find a thread for Jamarkus Pittman, but with Kiffin leaving, I wonder how much he is back in play. May also depend on whether or not they keep Golding as HC (guessing they will?).

Pittman is huge and we don’t really use traditional two-gap nose tackles. But I think it would be valuable situationally. If big boy gets a yard or 2 deep and plugs things up, that’s less runs that get cut back up the middle to gash us for 6-8 yards.

Ole Miss shouldn’t see many defensive guys drop, maybe some offensive guys.
