Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Looks like this year is $1 million to the champ, $500k to second, $300k to third, and $200k to fourth. $700k difference between first and third when both go 3-0 among 18 teams seems odd.
That whole damn thing is odd. Who holds a bracketed tournament and doesn't schedule enough games to work through the brackets? It's not a tournament. It's nothing more than a series of exhibition games.

I don’t feel it with any of the Heistman candidates. I don’t really follow it or put any stock in it, but I came across an article just now and read my first one in many years.

I haven’t seen Fernando Mendoza play, but the article said he had his Heistman moment coming from behind to edge out Penn State, who sucks and fired their coach, and bragged about the amazing “circus catch” that had to compensate for his throw. They had plain vanilla (and officiating crew beneficiary) Ty Simp on the list! I’m not making this up. A RB for media-promoted ND shot up to near the top of the line, they said, for 3 TDs against the Syracuse team that is a mere shadow of its former self and suffering a 7-game losing streak (!) since QB Steve Angeli tore his Achilles tendon in Sept. Bucknut signal caller J Sayin is on the list and a LB from Texas Tech. Even the dildo smoker who plays for Vandy.

This annual pageant has all the dignity and gravitas of a telemarketing boiler room imo. Is there anyone at all you think deserves a Heistman this year?

This is hilarious.

"GatorRaid better be right me and my short man syndrome boss got into a very heated debate this morning. He came into my office saying yall ready to go fisching and saying ***** like Kiffin is just stringing everyone along to stay at ol miss and go to FSU next year. I told him as politely as i could he was not a ball knower and we would be getting Kiffin this saturday."

Gonna get fired for trusting an anonymous message board poster for inside information during a coaching search.

If true that is bad news with LSU and Heupel. We'll either need to match their 16 million a year offer + 40 million in NIL or we could have problems.

The best scenario for college football is that he stays at Ole Miss. The best move for Tennessee would be him choosing LSU. IMO
It’s stupid, but you can get by with offering $16 million to Kiffin because he’s your fanbase’s heart and desire. But I don’t think you can get by offering someone else, such as Heupel, that amount.
