That graphic tells you everything you need to know about how Vandy is 9-2. NIL and the Transfer Portal is the best thing to ever happen to them.
Couple that with them lowering their entrance requirements for athletes, and here we are. Yes, for athletes only. I happen to know that for a fact. My daughter was required to have a 35 to even be considered there. Meanwhile, Vandy just signed an athlete with a 21 ACT from the same high school.

They are a school with a serious identity crisis.

I thought I remembered seeing that it is optional to submit test scores through 2027 so if you scored lower then it was advisable to not submit that with your application. Of course an athlete is always going to get preference because that’s what brings in the money. Regular students won’t do that unless they become a big wig after they graduate. Try not to look at it as personal towards everyone else. Every school caters to athletes.

Yeah for sure...not taking it personal, as my daughter wasn't seriously considering going there anyway.
I found it more disappointing considering the "academic superiority" they have always conveyed. This was the understood reason why they haven't been able to be competitive in football in forever.
