Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It actually was a hold. On the RT. He mauled the DE. Must be nice to get a holding call.
Well.... there still wasn't a replay. 😅

*there's been at least 3 penalties on Oklahoma that got declined

**greg mcelroy "great call David!!!". Sean "oh boy" (sarcastically). I bet he puts in for a transfer next season. 🤣

Hot take. in nil world, and porthole world - with massive budgets. If you can pay, history of wins goes out the door. Lane has a bird in hand, all things being equal those other programs are toxic. I would stay with hot hand.
But he can't seem to recruit better than ~top 20 at best at OM.

At LSU, top 10 classes are basically handed to you.

Not saying it isn't a much more toxic place with much higher expectations...but even if he bombs in 3 years, he probably walks away on a $60mm+ payday. Just go hang out on the beach with another overly tanned goober Coach O.

He’s been practicing for a while now. Getting paid by Tennessee to prepare for the NFL.
-He’s been practicing!
-He wants to play!
-He’s close
-These rumors about his camp are clownish

That was always the incredibly Pollyanna view. But it was certainly prevalent on here.

I am completely prepared mentally for lagway to come out looking like Spencer Rattler vs us in ‘22 tonight
Nope. It'll be the backup after Lagway throws a couple picks. He'll come in, magically run all over us, then land a hail mary as time expires 😅🤣

The starter simply playing well isn't brutal enough for a UT-UF storyline.

How fitting McElroy just happens to be on the call to help justify the Bama crew’s penalties. Coincidental? I think not. If I was a gambler, I would drop a large sum of money right now that Mizzou wins this game.

Most of this state is State fans followed by Bama and LSU. Ole Miss fans are in the minority. Ole Miss is associated with old money and most Mississippians are broke af.
Funny that is the reality, because that sure is the perception. Ole Miss kids look so preppy, like they're attending some high level private school and preparing to go to Wharton...oh sure, sure 🤣

Plus, "old money" in 2025 is having an old family plantation property worth $1.5mm when your 35 yr old neighbor has $100mm from crypto. Old Money is pretty sad these days tbh. But the culture persists, in the past, as always.

According to Birmingham..... "Oklahoma really needs that 3rd loss."

I HATE THE SEC

If it isn’t the Vols are the best or the best news ever, people lose their minds. Can’t talk about anything bad or bring negative info. Just get attacked. But if I say we’re getting Carter, Smith, and the JUCO DL then it’s thank you for the info.
Anything contrary to the State issued narrative has been, and always will be, attacked.

This forum, particularly, has a long, notorious history of executing info providers. They all, inevitably, run afoul of the mob.

Don’t become another statistic 😅

Im not really interested in Joey for. another year. I think 8-4, 9-3 is the ceiling with him at QB, would rather have that record with GM or BF and get ready for the future.
Your assumption is a green starter could replicate a 5th year senior leading one of the nation's top offenses (despite a pretty meh run game) and a porous defense.

But if we go 7-5 with a young buck next season, you'll be the first for a full-on revolt 😒
