I hope it happens. Because right now there's a rift in the fan base between folks who think they spend too much on basketball to the detriment of football and those who think the reason they can't compete in football is because they spend too much on basketball. It's fascinating. Depending on what message board you post on, you'll get shouted down for either opinion.

Ole Miss's Vandy is Mississippi State. They think their Alabama is LSU. I don't think it's on the same level historically, but they hate LSU. This would be like Heupel leaving us for Bama or Florida or Georgia. Somewhere in that realm.

He also needs to land Ole Miss on probation on the way out.

I don’t think it will be allowed, but it would be so great if Miss State beats Ole Miss.

According to people who are plugged in and in the know.........Heupel is one of the only coaches in the SEC, that people actually want to poach, that isn't entertaining offers through back channels.

Listen to this mornings segment of Ramone and Will 104.5 the zone regarding coaching searches.

The rain i trust this info is that station has earned national recognition. It is premier radio station now, getting national acclaim and it pulls some of the best analysts, reporters and plugged in guests. Hell Jim Nance is a regular listener. They have good info.

Listened to a really good segment with Tony V this evening.
