True if we were making the percentage we need to we easily make 100 tonight. I don't see a lot of bad shots just not making them. Another tight zone was giving us the open three wish we could make more.

Naw we good.. beat MTSU on their court by 44 points. We’ll score a 100 points when we need to score it.
Tonight winning by 44 points on the road against any team is all that matters.
And this Lady Vol team looked elite doing it🍊.

Exactly! After Spearman missed 3 in a row, it’s time to not shoot them and go to the rim.

We shoot 47 percent overall but only 24 percent from the three. Again 34 attempts. Most looked like good shots just have to knock them down when your that open yet we were not able to. Spearman 1 for 7. Hurst 1 for 5. MIa 0 for 5. That is 2 for 17 right there. Cooper made 3 of 7. Barker 1 of 3. Overall 8 of 34 about where weve been. Defense was just awesome tonight so still a blowout.

Those rims were lively and unforgiving. Almost like the balls were overinflated.

Syd is one of my all time favorites. I was obsessed with her as a kid. Used to pretend I was Syd bombing it from deep in the back yard 🤣

One of the best “Three and D” players we ever had.

Our half court defense is vastly improved over last season. Press could still be a little tighter but we aren’t giving up the easy buckets off it like we did last year.

The teamwork and hustle that finally emerged in the 4th quarter against Belmont was even more stepped up in the first half of this game. There was a much better team defense in both the press but even more impressively in our half-court defense. I think that it is likely given how erratic most Freshman play that we will do okay if at least two of our freshmen have on g, ames each game. The fact that it was Prawl and Mya tonight gives us some diversity. I thought Prawl has taken it to another level the last two games. The announcer said that they have been seeing this for a while in practice and in scrimmages, so this trend we are seeing is not likely a fluke. She is much quicker and tenacious than what she looked like when she was playing scared the first few games, which was totally understandable.
I really don't see us ever reaching the level of made three-pointers as last year, which will negatively impact Kim's offensive strategy. This may partly be made up by have two potential all-stars that can break even a tight zone with Barker and Cooper. This was the Barker tonight that I have been wishing for, not that she hasn't been good previously. This may not be enough by itself to make up for the poor three-point shooting. Fortunately, we may end up having a much better defense this year, especially in the half court. It was mostly half-court that we had to play against the best teams last year's given that they typically broke the zone quickly, so getting good in this area is critical The half-court defense was way more impressive in the first half of this game than during any of our pre-conference games last year. It gives me hope, and even more so when we get Latham back and hopefully a more functional Jersey.

Don't know about the rest of the violations but the female ref said Mia lunged forward. She did not move her feet just lunged. Such a BS call. Like I said officiating was TERRIBLE. Cooper was held all night and she had all she could take of it.
