You may be right, Missouri played Tuesday night and now Thursday morning, so not much time between games to rejuvenate, and Missouri also plays a fast paced game. It seemed like Troy couldn’t miss 3’s today, including a shot that banked in at the end of a quarter. Troy shot 41.8% fg, 48.1 for 3s, and 84% free throws, hard to beat that. As it was, Missouri also shot well: 43.1% fg, 40.7% for 3s, and 100% free throws.

A difference hard to miss is that Troy made 33 of 79 shots, while MO made 25 of 58 shots, so Troy took 21 more shots than MO. Troy had 19 offensive rebounds to MO’s 6. It seems that MO rushes back to defense after a player shoots, rather than trying to get a put back on offense, but maybe that was due to Troy’s play. Anyway, whatever I think I see that needs to be fixed, I know Kellie sees as well, so I’m sure it will be addressed. Of course, seems like there’s always a player or more that you hoped would have played better. The season’s just beginning, lots to look forward to.

Eh, Troy also played Tuesday night at K State and got run out the gym 81-59, so I see your point, but Kellie’s for sure got her work cut out for her to have them competitive in the conference this year.

i’m not understanding dukes problem tbh. they have relatively the same team as last year and they were a top 10ish team in my book. not sure what went wrong over the summer.

Chemistry is awful.

Oluchi was their best player and the glue. Their defense hasn’t been very solid and their offense is as bad as it ever has been under Lawson. Too much talent to be that bad.

Rumor at the end of the season was Kara had lost the locker room and there was a lot of discord behind the scenes. Not sure how much truth there was to that but the start of this season makes me believe it.

I think Kara is too self interested.

Duke never had any business being ranked in the Top 10.
Losing to a team with just 5 players eligible in the 2nd half and then by 15 points to South Florida looks pretty rough.
Maybe they can turn it around at some point.
