Complete dumb ass move by the officer! Gotta give the player due props for basically walking away. Should he be fired? Not if he has a clean record before this incident. Suspended without pay for a week and not permitted to work any more games or special details most definitely!
They should send him to El Paso for patrol that would be a suitable punishment that place is a **** hole.

You can’t see his face or hear the audio. How do you presume to interpret what was said as he approached?

I’m not going to argue with you if this is the best you can do. Everything you said is based on assumptions. If you’ve never directed anything before, then I can maybe see how you could be so mistaken.. But the arrogance in claiming “100%” is dishonest and pathetic.

I guess I get satisfaction out of arguing with people whose heads are too far up their own arses to know when they’re arguing against real world experience.

When you direct traffic, do you stand in the lane you want the cars to drive in or do you stand in the lane you want them to drive around, Mr. Roadkill?
All I know is that this wannabe Buford Pusser was relieved of duty Saturday and going forward. So evidently someone in authority decided he handled it wrong and that’s the end of it. Dude can direct players at the Pop Warner League games in College Station.

I'm laughing that this dude is saying the cop told them to go back down, when the video shows he's not near them and walking up the ramp AFTER they were already walking back down. At what point would he have given them any instructions? Yelled at them from the base of the tunnel? Talk about making assumptions, there's no evidence he gave them any instructions until AFTER he interacted with them. Also the absurdity of saying "he was doing his job"...they are football players. Did he think they were going to loiter in the tunnel for an hour?

He needs to take his L just like that trooper did.

It doesn’t matter what was said. He knew who they were, what they were doing and where they were going. He then initiated the contact by throwing up his elbows. Most anyone else would have just got out of their way. Dude was dead wrong

That’s what I said before we argued over whether he pointed them away from the tunnel. 🤦‍♂️

That doesn’t sound like punishment. It probably pays the same either way.

You also said you understood why he followed them in and ordered them out. Please explain that part and the rest of us may start to understand where you’re coming from on this. Harassing the players is not a part of his job and that’s exactly what he was doing

Come on, clearly the football players who were already leaving the tunnel needed a meathead to walk up, purposedly bump into them and scream at them to walk the way they were already walking. Also I'm pretty sure walking against people isn't "following" , as the video shows the trooper wasn't even in the tunnel until they were coming down.

Oh I expect the cops really like that duty. Pretty easy way to spend a Saturday afternoon especially if you are a fan of the team. I suspect he’s not very happy losing the gig.
Having to be on alert for acts of terror or a riot in a bowl of screaming drunks has to be as stressful as it gets.

It is the officer’s duty to protect the players from altercations with anyone who is not part of the game. If players are wondering around under the stadium, there’s an increased risk of an incident. He was trying to get them back to the playing field, where security had been planned for them.

I am skeptical about why anyone is missing this, but maybe I’ve spent too much time working in areas with security?

If you need an example:
Have you ever been to a hospital recently? I had to spend time at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital recently. Try sneaking through a security door without a badge and someone will come find you. It doesn’t matter if you’re an employee or a patient. If they do not recognize you as someone who is supposed to be in that area, someone is going to come to you and steer you to where you’re supposed to be.

I’ve worked in a prisons, hospitals, airports, the governor’s mansion, nissan stadium, Bridgestone arena, museums.. If there is security present, their job is to make everyone follow the rules of the establishment - especially staying in the designated areas. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been working their for 10 minutes or 10 months.

do you see the irony here?

No, it's because your reasoning makes zero sense with all avaiable evidence. Like what you just said is so stupid it's hard to imagine you actually believe any of it; and your comparisons to what happened at the game are just really really really stupid because that's not even remotely the same and you know it.

Haha, I have not missed it.. I equate it to a swat on the behind to some unruly boys.

I am arguing against the narrative that an officer chased them down to throw an elbow. He threw the elbow because he had to chase them down.

Your reasoning is not present then. You seem to be arguing against something that does not involve logic.

And that's why you're being dragged, because you're the only one here who watches that and comes to that conclusion. In no way at all does the video evidence back you up, and I think you know that and you're too stubborn to admit or you're just trolling at this point.

There are so few people here arguing, even though everyone has written off our playoff chances that the substance of our conversations equate to “is Heupel good?”. You don’t even have enough overly emotional people to form a woke mob on this one.

In every way the video supports my claim because that’s the entirety of my claim.

Who’s lying?

I said he got on the other side of them and pointed the players back to the direction of the field. That’s exactly what the video shows that happened.

Lol, your entire narrative was that he had to go tell them to back to the field because that's his job and no...he didn't.; not in any way did he have to go tell players who were already going back towards the field to....go back to the field.

And yes genius, he did point them back to the field.....AFTER he iniated contact and then screamed at them to go back to the field that they were already walking towards.

There’s a positive change. Earlier I was compelled to watch the video for the “first time” because we were denying that happened.

I addressed the elbow from the start. I think you let your emotions get the best of you here.
