Fired? Maybe.

Suspended without pay? Definitely

And I would be willing to bet if you pulled his records, you'd find a lot of similar behavior. Douche nozzles like this don't just act out randomly as a one off.
I was thinking the exact same thing.

You really think he knew he was on tv ?
Yes. He interacted with a player that just scored a TD. Even if that wasn’t the case, there are dozens of cameras covering the game plus thousands of people in the stands with phones. Everyone should assume they’re on camera every time they’re out in public and act accordingly. Aren’t we supposed to hold police to a higher level of accountability given their authority and position?

Sounds like projection.

You're the one who created a narrative that anyone with eyes could see didn't happen. So who exactly is in denial here?
The officer pointed and told the player to leave. I’m not sure what video you’re watching, but you’re as lost as last year’s Easter egg.

Are you of the belief this was ok?
You didn’t start at the beginning of this typed conversation, did you?

It’s OK, I’ll go find it for you.
I understand why he followed them and ordered them out of the tunnel. Keeping people where they are meant to be during the event is why he was getting paid to be there.

The shoulder check was childish and not acceptable when you consider the reverse is assaulting a law enforcement officer and very serious.

The trooper absolutely 100% went down the tunnel with the intent to physically check those players and intimidate them, and I agree with people who said he's probably just as bad outside the stadium as he is in it. He got big mad because South Carolina was embarrassing "his" Aggies and he decided to do something about it. An overly-emotional response showing a complete lack of self-control and judgment.

People who look to pick fights as a way to bully or threaten others are wicked at heart, and the ones who bully while hiding behind the permission of some larger authority (a badge, a uniform, whatever) are even worse.

I posted this just to start a conversation about unnecessary behavior by ONE PERSON in a position of power. The patrolman got his just deserts and lost the ability for O.T. pay and watching football from a really privileged place. This was never meant to be an opinion piece on the legitimacy of law enforcement in general. It was one jerk doing something stupid. I have had unpleasant encounters with the cops, but they have been vastly outweighed by pleasant ones. Let's not tar all of them for this.

You’re premise that he followed then to tell them to leave is contradicted by the actual video. He would’ve stopped short and pointed, making way for them to pass if all he was doing was what you propose.

But the video clearly shows him intently walking through them. No attempt at stopping. he didn’t engage with them about leaving until after he initiated contact.

If I was a defense layer in Texas, I’d be looking into any case with his name on it.

That job attracts a lot of stupid jerks, sadly

He positioned himself between the players and the direction that he told them to return from. Why would someone block the way that they were directing someone to go? There’s no confusion there as far as I can tell.

You must be double jointed, because you're twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to make his actions make sense.

I'm starting to think you didn't even really watch it. Here:

Nothng you say is correct; he didn't tell them to go back to the field, they already were. He walked towards them as they were coming back. You're completely making up this "directing". He purposedly started walking up between them when again...they were already walking back to the field when he started the whole thing.

YOUR premise is he followed them up the ramp to tell them to go back (which that alone is beyond stupid) is 100% false. He didn't tell them to go back to the field until AFTER he purposedly bumped into them. He didn't say a damn word to them before that, and for about the 5th time they were ALREADY walking back to the field.

You can’t see his face or hear the audio. How do you presume to interpret what was said as he approached?

I’m not going to argue with you if this is the best you can do. Everything you said is based on assumptions. If you’ve never directed anything before, then I can maybe see how you could be so mistaken.. But the arrogance in claiming “100%” is dishonest and pathetic.
