The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Titans would have to convince him that uprooting his very stable family situation in Oxford (specifically his son's) is worth dealing with one of the most dysfunctional franchises in the last few years.

AAS is basically the female Al Davis right now
Yeah, Adams is just terrible. Time for Goodell to put heat or her, again.

Know they love Oxford, but
when the dust settles, sure would not be surprised if Kiffin takes over Florida.

I think he waits until his son graduates high school to leave. I could be wrong though. He does seem to have matured as a coach and as a person. Maybe family means more to him than money at this point.

That and Oxford HS is coached by Chris Cutcliffe. Very stable situation for Knox to spend 2 years developing if he wants to give college ball a try

Cam is certainly holding the ball too long but our wideouts suck. I know people want one of the edges in this draft, but I want either Downs or best WR available. We need weapons
It would be dumb to waste the first or second pick of the draft on a WR. Better off trading down for picks if they want a WR first

Way too early to give up on him like some here have. Watching Sam Darnold and Bryce Young should be a lesson about forming an opinion too fast.
The flashes he shows with his arm are genuinely elite level throws.

His main issue is that he holds the ball too long. You can do that if you have receivers you can trust to get open. They Titans don't have that yet.

People forget Peyton threw nearly 30 interceptions his rooke season and he had a young Marvin Harrison and Marcus Pollard and Marshall Faulk in the backfield.

I'm not out on Cam, I was never really a believer though. And I agree you can't give up on him. But with QB's you're typically looking for something, I've seen some great throws, but I've also seen some terrible throws. Really bad ball security traits.

Maybe that can be coached out. I've also not seen that moment for him yet. I want to see him lead This team, will it to succeed. Not sure if that's possible under in the current situation, coaching, play calling, complimentary cast etc.

The bottom line for me is pessimism, because it takes time to get the right pieces in place, the right coach, the scheme that best fits his abilities. He has none of it at the moment. He's going to have a new coach, learning a new system next season...... Year number 1 so over again. The bottom line is he was set up to fail, more reason for my pessimism. He could very well be one of those guys that moves on to have success elsewhere.

We need to find a George Pickens style trade. I would say Brian Thomas Jr, but there is probably zero chance the Jags trade with us.

Brandin Cooks is on the street. Not what I would call a stud WR, but still has speed and decent hands. I question his desire these days though. He seems to be checked out most of the time.

I wouldn't hate that pairing...

This would probably be the best possible scenario. I probably like Saleh or Flores the best of the candidates I've seen mentioned so far. If the Packers are dumb enough to fire LaFleur, he immediately becomes my favorite.

And I've stated before, I would also be good with Mike McDaniel as the HC if he were available. He is great play caller. And anyone that can take noodle armed Tua and turn him into an MVP candidate must be doing something right.
