Oh, and we have the highest percentage of freshman playing time in the SEC and the lowest percentage of senior playing time in the SECConsidering we replaced NINE starters on offense, and lost a first round edge, second round DT, and our only true 1-Tech on the d-line, and a 3rd team all -sec CB and the best cornerback in the nation to injury while our best all around linebacker plays with double turf toe. AND while dealing with continued recruiting restrictions from the NCAA because of the actions of the previous coach, I feel pretty good about 7-3
I posted this in the Florida NCAA thread as well but the word around Oxford is that his family, specifically his son, like living there and don’t want to move. If his kids get a say, he’s not leaving Ole Miss.Sort of feels like where we are with the Florida coaching search is their beat writers are prepping fans, not just to not land Kiffin, but to have no good option once he says no.
This is from Zach Goodall of 247.
"If the Kiffin plan connects, the whole thing could level out, the wheels grabbing just enough road to survive and potentially flourish.
If it doesn't, though, if that single system fails, then there's presently nothing left between the Gators and impact. No airbags. No backup plan. No runoff lane. Just a spectacular, violent crash no one in Gainesville can afford."
exactly, When this all started most fans were begging us to do anything to keep Boo on the team. Now most those people are complaining we shouldn't have kept him. You can't win.Catch 22 for the staff
Keep him and it works out how it did
Tell him to kick rocks back in August and our fans spend the whole season whining about the DBs and how stupid it was to let Boo walk
There are lots of reasons it wouldn't make any sense. I don't think Florida fans get that they are married to DJ Lagway. I don't think Lane wants to coach Lagway. Watch if Lagway isn't back regardless of who the coach is. Kiffin has two better QBs where he is. Plus why on Earth would a Florida commit visit Ole Miss if Lane Kiffin wasn't telling them behind the scenes that's where he's going to be next year. In fact, it hasn't seemed to slow Ole Miss recruiting down at all for Kiffin to be "flirting" with Florida.I posted this in the Florida NCAA thread as well but the word around Oxford is that his family, specifically his son, like living there and don’t want to move.
