7-5 in Year 5 not being a "good look" is an opinion. Not a fact. We're currently looking at 6-3. I do believe it will be difficult to beat both Vandy and Florida but it's far from a forgone conclusion that we're losing both. If we do go 7-5 this year, I don't think he has a target on his back at all unless the wheels come completely off next year. You're making a lot of assumptions that have no foundation in fact. How so? It’s factual. He’s in Year 5 and we’re potentially looking at 7-5, if you think that’s success, maybe you’re misinterpreting what the word success means. I’m not acting like anything, just utilizing facts. And the facts say that Heupel is a great coach BUT, as I said, 7-5 in Year 5 is not a good look. And if you think this fanbase is patient enough to allow two rebuilding years, which next year will most likely be if we don’t attack the portal as we should, you’re lying to yourself.
So as I said in the post, we should stop caring about where Iowa is and focus on what the team has to accomplish these last 3 games to ensure we go into 2026 without a target on Heupel’s back.
Theres a very loud, very vocal, mind you very stupid, part of this fanbase that’s literally already saying they’d be fine if he bolted for [insert any other school here], and the season isn’t even over. And you’re honestly telling me if we go 7-5 that very vocal part won’t become even louder and less easily to argue against? Dude, come on.7-5 in Year 5 not being a "good look" is an opinion. Nega Vol handbook page 1You know nothing about me so save your sorries for something you know about.
I see the positive side of and the negative side of. So I see reality.
I argue with the ones that wear orange tinted glasses and see that being in the SEC makes you automatically better than anyone else.
Heup's going to leave to coach the San Francisco Giants? For what it’s worth, I’ve had this feeling in my gut that Heupel won’t be here in 2026. I’m hoping I’m dead wrong, but when I saw all these openings and the coaches that are available or being used as pipe dreams (Kiffin is apparently going everywhere) I thought it was only a matter of time before we have another Tony V situation.
We're not making the playoffs, but it would be nice to finish high enough in the rankings for a Florida bowl game.Looking at the teams ahead of us and their schedules, there will be SEVERAL more 3 loss or more teams in the next two weeks. It’s really not impossible for us to sneak in lol. Unlikely but not impossible
