Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I freaking hate that portion of our fanbase...straight up HATE...them...and I never said I would cheer for him somewhere else so don't twist what I said...I said "I wouldn't blame him".

You have to be a braindead idiot (which you are not) to not recognize what is about to happen if we lose to Florida and/or Vanderbilt....it is going to be a nightmare.
If we go 7-5 then Heup deserves some heat.

Yeah, especially 2 10 win seasons in the last 3. It's not like it's taken us five years just to jet to 7-5. Plus, we're not 7-5 yet. You act like we haven't had any good years. Saying in"year 5" is a misleading way to present your "data"
Growing the team to a level not seen in almost 3 decades in 5 years is not good enough

Look at the average margin per game in SEC this year. 8.5 pts
NIL has pushed most P4 teams into the middle 80%. Any Given Saturday. So while it sucks, I think probably of going 7-5 is right up their with probability of going 10-2. That said, with smaller margins, it stands to reason that in game coaching and strategy will carry more weight that ever.

Edit: In a given season , I think probably of going 7-5 is right up their with probability of going 10-2.

What the hell is this? Understand that is likely true of any head coach, but why publish this now? Is there smoke?…

Who is Chris smith? Industry knowledge? I think he’s talking out of his arse. And it’s Zach ragan who we know will say literally anything to be able to put out a short article. Call BS on all of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we beat a top 5 team either. In the scheme of things, not being surprised means absolutely nothing for you or anyone else. Except all you ever see is the negative side of things. Sorry you have to follow football this way and hope it’s not your mantra in life.
You know nothing about me so save your sorries for something you know about.

I see the positive side of and the negative side of. So I see reality.

I argue with the ones that wear orange tinted glasses and see that being in the SEC makes you automatically better than anyone else.

For what it’s worth, I’ve had this feeling in my gut that Heupel won’t be here in 2026. I’m hoping I’m dead wrong, but when I saw all these openings and the coaches that are available or being used as pipe dreams (Kiffin is apparently going everywhere) I thought it was only a matter of time before we have another Tony V situation.
It’s not worth shite. And that’s not a personal dig so don’t @ me.

That’s your BVS talking.

Ole Miss and Texas A@M struggled with both of them.
Notre dame beat Arky by about 50 ,, So what’s your point?

Fact is neither is very good, just like LSU, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida, SCJr .

Not a really strong case for the “ if they were in the SEC they’d have 3 losses instead of 0” crowd on here.

This. It’s why I keep saying if we go 7-5, which is still a very really possibility, it will not be a good look for Heupel. It’s not because I think he’s a bad coach and needs to go. It’s because I know exactly how this fanbase can be.

This was the infamous press conference back in the day..one of the espn commentators said les was taking a job and it created a huge s**t storm to the point he had to come out and put it to rest
Wrong post. I was asking about the mlb manager who shat on TV.

🦬💩 maybe he is smart enough to remember that we had a top 5 defense LAST ******* YEAR and doesn't see the need to burn his staff to the ground.
2021 - 55th
2022 - 19th
2023 - 113th
2024 - 6th
2025 - 98th

Is this good for a DC at Tennessee? Honestly. Because I don’t think it is. It seems like we have to have an elite DL and NFL corners to field a decent defense. Otherwise, it’s not very good.

If you average all of those that is fielding the 62nd best defense in the country.
