East Tennessee Weather II

Any of you experts can tell me if we have a shot at a white Christmas this year?
No expert, but have to follow the weather a lot for work. Anything beyond 5-7 days out is only slightly better than just consulting a Farmer's Almanac. For snow in a place as difficult to forecast as Knoxville, even that's pushing it. Check back in a couple weeks.

LR Forecast for 12/20 - 1/3. Warm and wetter than average - but it said the same a several weeks ago for now and that didn’t play out.

It’s early, but not looking great for snow so far. Looking like a pretty warm winter. Of course, if we do get one, it could be decent given how wet it’s looking. It’s not even technically Winter yet, of course, and long range predictions are so tough, especially in the Valley. Just a gut feel at this point.

There is a signal in some of the models that there is going to be some sort of widespread snow activity "around" the Christmas holiday. Does it reach as far south as East Tennessee? We know the cold air will be in place, but that's about all we can assume at this point. Should get a clearer picture in the next week or so.

Going to have to say 100% No White Christmas in East Tennessee. Probably for much of the nation it will be nada on snow. Big warming trend coming and it's going to hang in until after Christmas.
