"...now, go poison the salad bar down at the Sizzler."“Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny – he has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are not here accidentally – you are here meaningfully.”

Well, this guy is an SMU writer so that is something to bear in mind. His audience is SMU fans who love to see Texas struggle. But he's obviously very connected too so I guess we'll see how it turns out. Texas has really not recruited as well as most fans probably think given their resources and I'm really not sure why. Especially at OL. They even struck out in the portal on OL.What do they know that we don’t? Sark to NFL or something else![]()
I know it's Tennessee Florida, but I really wonder what kind of fight we're going to get from that squad. Those who haven't yet literally quit the team appear to have done it mentally. Several really good players on that roster sitting the rest of the year out.
Hard to say what we'll get with Florida. Last three games, they barely beat a bad Miss St. team at home, then they give Georgia a tough match, followed by being blown out by a bad Kentucky team. With Ole Miss before us, will we be the fresher team? Is that an advantage? Oh please lord, break the streak. If Florida quits and we win that game by 3+ touchdowns, it will go down as one of my favorite games in the past 20 years - no question.
Not to mention - (and I get it, humans perceive things in a certain causal way) if your team gets called for a holding penalty on 3rd and 3 from the opposing 20, it's seen as a critical failure, but a holding penalty on 3rd and 3 from their own 33 and it's "just another penalty". Yet both greatly killed drives.Just quoting you for the topic, not your post specifically.
The main problem with this theory is that what is considered an "impactful" penalty only gets decided after the penalty is called.
We get called (rightfully) for OPI, the game gets out of hand, and tinfoil gang looks back on it and says the fix was in.
Bama gets called for the same penalty, makes a play, picks up a first down, and the tin foil gang says it was a meaningless call that was just made to cover their tracks. A meaningless call by refs that can barely keep the rules straight in their head when Bama isn't playing, but are somehow so competent they can fix the games while hiding all statistical evidence while Bama is playing.
Worry not, after we squash them, the negas will roll by calling it the worst UF team ever, who took UGA to the brink and beat a #10 TEX squad...Hard to say what we'll get with Florida. Last three games, they barely beat a bad Miss St. team at home, then they give Florida a tough match, followed by being blown out by a bad Kentucky team. With Ole Miss before us, will we be the fresher team? Is that an advantage? Oh please lord, break the streak.
