Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

After only losing 4 games the entire campaign last year, Liverpool have lost 4 in a row since the final transaction of their record breaking splurge this year.
Probably shouldn’t have gone a little harder for a CB and not put all the eggs in Guehi’s basket. Van Dijk seems to have lost a step, and at least every time I’ve watched them this year, Konate seems to have become an outright liability. Although it’s possible the loss of TAA to provide cover on the right side is a big factor in that.

I haven’t been able to watch much this year, wondering who is Top of the League?

I'm on fire today, anytime goal, Mason Greenwood earlier and now, Saka. Btw, I went down a Gareth Bale ( my all-time favorite player) rabbit hole, today. That speed and athleticism, nobody playing, right now, compares to him, imo. But, I'm a casual soccer fan, compared to my knowledge in basketball, football and baseball. So, my question is: Which current player is most like Bale ?

Xhaka isn’t right for a big team but man is he a wonderful footballer for medium to smaller sides. Like Joe McGinn for Villa, he’s just a solid player
