2nd game of the year with a new squad learning a difficult system. it’ll click. The most concerning thing to me is that ETSU is able to get to the rim really easily. The only thing is they can't do it without missing, turning it over, or getting their shot blocked, unlike NC State. We have to get better at stopping the ball.
I want to understand this so bad. Can anyone help me? When I played basketball, the easiest thing to do and understand was a press. It’s not like Kim has several different presses. And our offense is isn’t rocket science, we stand around and go one on one. We’ve ran one set tonight, the horn set. In Kim’s system I’m assuming you don’t establish post play because it’s supposed to be a 5 out? At least that’s what some posters say.Observation: The post play has been non-existent. I know some will say it doesn’t matter they’re up nearly 30, but it’s kind of a little worrying. We couldn’t establish post play in the NC St game and having trouble in this game on a smaller team.
i’m just going off what players have said. coop has been very vocal about how difficult the system was to learn.I want to understand this so bad. Can anyone help me? They know concept of the press, but have trouble with what angles to take to execute the press.I want to understand this so bad. Can anyone help me? It feels like teams see that we're happy to keep putting up 3s when faced with a little bit of zone or sagging man, and we just don't really seem to have many plays (at least yet) other than to drive in a few feet then kick it right back out.Observation: The post play has been non-existent. Yes, 5 out. But that's the starting point. You should have the players screening and cutting through the lane. And, if you have a mismatch, stop the cut down low and demand the ball.In Kim’s system I’m assuming you don’t establish post play because it’s supposed to be a 5 out?
