Looks like ETSU is really young and inexperienced. They started 4 sophomores in their first game, most of whom played very little last season. If they had 21 turnovers against Elon, I can only imagine how bad it's going to get against us coming off a loss.

Torvik has this 84-49. I think we break 100. Maybe 105-51.

Would be stunned if we do not score 100.

The ETSU coaches saw how easily NCS broke our full court press, and will most likely try and duplicate their press breaking strategies...Let's hope our coaches have adjusted our press process and are more effective, if not, forget about it.

Agree with this but ETSU does not have the talent to break it even if they know how. The concerning part is the better teams know how to break it. The team should get better at playing it in the next few games but to your point, some adjusting may be needed.

Everybody knows how to do it having talent to do it is the answer. NC St had the talent to break it. Opponents like UCLA, LSU, SC, etc will have the talent to break it too. So in these games need more of a slow down press shorten their shot clock, win the foul line and rebounds. Just can't press these teams into a victory like you can teams like ETSU.

I think if we press all game against the good teams, we are going to see a repeat of last year. I wish CKC would at least try to let them play some aggressive half court D at strategic points during a game and see what the results are.

Certainly needs to go to a matchup press against the better teams. Try to make them work it down the court try and use around 15 seconds of their shot clock to get in an offense then you only have to play aggressive D for 15 seconds. Trapping has been the problem it is killing us causing to many easy baskets for opponents. We can trap ETSU and some of these mid majors is working less and less against teams with top guards.

It was Pierre and Trygger that killed us…

For Trygger she is the one that was making the uncontested layups in the first quarter. Pierre is going to get hers against everybody and they are not going to win all those games. The stats say the foul line was the difference if we make the same amount they did by getting to the line as much as they did we win by four regardless of Trygger or Pierre.
