😂, could you imagine the refs throwing a flag on the Vols because Neyland is being too loud? 😂 . . I realize, as I typed that, I actually could imagine them doing that to us. . .
I remember back in the late 70’s and early 80’s the officials would delay the snap because of crowd noise. The QB would back away from center and throw his hands up letting the officials know he couldn’t hear. They would blow the whistle and stop the clock waiting for it to die down. It just got louder, it was crazy. They would not throw a flag though. I still believe that Neyland was louder before they closed the upper deck in. It was the acoustics or something.

🤷View attachment 787913FTR...... I live in Knoxville.
UPS hasn’t been able to deliver to my house in 12 months and it started out of nowhere last fall. I’ve had similar tracking updates over and over again. They end up delivering to UPS store by the mall and we have to go pick it up. So frustrating.

I'm sure all these Gator fans who demand Kiffin and no one but Kiffin will be assuaged by this article from a beat writer saying, "Sure, Florida could Hire Lane Kiffin, but it would be expensive!"

Hear me out, Perlotte needs to get some coaching from our safeties room as well. He's a Swiss army knife, you can put him all over the place. While I think he translates best at lb, in run downs I'd add him in as the safety as long as he could cover in the pinch.

It did seem louder then.
And as you said, I believe the acoustics have changed.
