Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Sounds like he is a bad kid with a bad parent.
Lost kid with a bad parent.

Without my in laws and some friends, I would likely have been labeled a bad kid. I wasn’t bad. I was lost and needed help. But without help, I would likely be somewhere completely different now. Luckily, I turned it around and I hope he can too.

I see it differently as my mom was an addict and I dealt with craziness as a child. I had major anger issues and got into trouble as a teen. Once I had people to look up to and helped me, I turned everything around. I hope he can too as he seems lost to me.

Man Bo Nix had a 40 yard completion easily if he just throws it short to his guy who has 2 defenders 5 yards ahead of him. But he goes for the 60 yard completion and gets picked easily. He's really not a smart qb, his brain is holding him back.

I had a "your mom" response but we both know this conversation is destined to be moved to the off-topic forum.
It's about time we had some good ol' destined for the off-topic forum posts up in here.
The know-it-all monologues are so damn boring.

So we can root for him. I can root for success at Auburn. I can’t do it at Florida.
I'm sorry, but I go further back to when Auburn was on our schedule. I can't root for them either. In fact, I actively cheer for every other SEC team to lose.

Truthfully, I only root for Tennessee to win. Lots of schools I root for to lose.

I agree, but I also think you can be more okay with him having success at Auburn than you could be if he were at Florida.

Take Mike Elko for example. I have absolutely zero cares in the world about Mike Elko. He seems like a genuinely decent human and I admire his ability to be successful. So therefore I am completely indifferent about him and his career as a head coach at A&M. Now, let’s say he moves to Bama. Now my indifference turns to scorn. In fact, now I’d want him to have a career that suffers the death of a thousand suns. Why? Because I hate Bama and thus I would hate him.

Elko steals recruits we want, therefore he is a bad human.
