The Official #14 Tennessee vs. #18 Oklahoma Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

Heupel made some WTF decisions tonight. Like the declining the penalty when he should've taken it and took the Sooners out of FG range and going for an onside kick when we should have kicked it deep as we still had all our timeouts left and enough time left that we could have gotten the ball back and had a chance to win the game. But the bad throws by Aguilar? He didn't have brain farts. He had diarrhea of the brain when it came to those picks.
Maybe he didn't trust the defense to stop them.
He is going to have to make staff changes. He has to. I think he will wait until after the season though.

Had he taken the penalty and we gave up the first down, people would have been b!tching and moaning about not forcing them to kick a long FG. You can’t please these miserable clowns.

Thing is, 98% of the FF was saying we are a 8-4 or 9-3 team this year. We are living up to that and everyone is complaining about being exactly where we expected to be.

some of those coaching decisions were questionable but arguments could be made both ways. hindsight is always 20/20. personally i liked living with 55 yard fg attempt instead of giving them an opportunity to convert another 3rd & long. maybe they convert or if they don’t maybe they go for it in 4th ang get it then score a TD. then we’d be saying he should have let them kick the 55. on the onside kick we only had 2 timeouts remaining and defensive stops were hard to come by. if we recover the onside and win everyone would be praising that decision
That was another decision made out of fear, that our defense would not be able to get off. Fear is the mind killer.
