The widespread acceptance of "they hate us for our freedoms" is really one of the most masterful displays of propaganda in US history.

Literally, mountains of evidence, including the words of the terrorist themselves + intelligence community opinion that it was "blowback" (they even coined a phrase for the phenomenon)....you start to think everybody's finally on the same page, but nope. People still believe that dudes from 10k miles away committed suicide because they were mad that I can see some titties at a nudey bar.

The Britsh people probably made similar mocking statements about 10 years ago. Now they get multiple year jail sentences for posting anything negative about Muslims. You might like it there.

You understand that the problem isn't Muslims, it's that the UK doesn't protect freedom like we do. Living in a free country comes at a price, and one of those is, dear God, can we face it?....you might have a Muslim neighbor. Or a Muslim mayor. Or a Muslim representative in congress. How will the US ever survive religious diversity?

Edit: interesting question...are the elected officials in DC today more or less religiously diverse than the founders?

It's not much dumber than believing Obama would be different. That the affordable Care act was anything but a gift to the healthcare industry at our expense, that he wouldn't continue flawed foreign policy in the middle east. That same policy others noted above was responsible for 9-11.

Quit pretending the left is any less or more gullible than the right. There is no difference between the two parties in action, only rhetoric. It's why nothing ever changes but the letter behind the name and the bump in their bank account and the lightness of mine.

I will always categorically reject the concept that they are equal anything......that's pretty much an impossibility.

And the little slight differences are the only things that really matter and should be the driving force behind everything.

The whole..."it's all equal, there are no differences, they're exactly the same" is a mentally weak copout and exactly what people (on the right) are being conditioned to believe.
