I’m as disappointed as anyone about the Oklahoma game and us having 3 losses this season.

I don’t think CJH has had his best year as a HC. In game decisions and clock management have been an issue this year. I think that’s fair.

However, if you are ready to move on from CJH right now you are beyond ignorant. Did you forget the last 15 years? They really sucked before CJH. Careful what you wish for.

The majority is silent. The silent majority outnumbers the vocal minority. Stop with these posts.

We have the best fan base in the country and I don’t think it’s particularly close. But Im not going to shut up about the ignorance we are experiencing right now with I think more than a small vocal group among us. It’s getting amplified and it’s dumb.

Heuple didn’t miss the kick against Georgia he didn’t commit intentional grounding or throw the interception returned 99yards for TD against Alabama he didn’t throw 2 INTs and let a blitzing LB unabated to QB and fumble against Oklahoma. But I do think his play calling and clock management has had a lot to be desired. Hopefully CJH realizes his issues and that of other coaches and works to change those in off season. He always talks about growth of players well he and his staff need some of that too maybe he sees the need for some staff changes. If this doesn’t happen next season then Danny Dimes needs to have a serious conversation up to possibly making a change himself. Heuple is still young and in the early stages of his coaching career. Let’s hope he addresses what needs to be and gets Vols into the playoffs and elite conversations every year.

It's a classic VN football forum tactic: addressing issues that don't really exist in any meaningful way, and generalize said issues to the entire fanbase, in order to feel some false sense of moral superiority while simultaneously farming for likes.

More name calling.

See this is what happens when people have no logical explanation for something. They get defensive and start name calling.

Heupel has made numerous bad decisions and it’s led to 6-3. No way we were supposed to make to that very average Oklahoma team at home!
Back in August I said OU could very easily be a loss on here and I got roasted by a few people. Guess I was right

No moral grandstanding here. Personally I think Heup has had a bad year as a HC. However, this narrative that CJH has peaked or run his course makes me sick. It’s gotten loud enough Herbstreit is addressing it.

9-3 was my preseason prediction with losses to Alabama, Georgia, and either Oklahoma or Florida. So far the season has transpired exactly as I thought.
You did say that.

But do you honestly think that Oklahoma team was better than Tennessee?

Damn the predictions. What did you see?

I saw Heupel do is annual “1 loss for no reason “ routine.

2025- Oklahoma
2024- Arkansas
2023- Florida
2022- South Carolina
2021- Purdue

That’s a trash tradition!! But every single year there’s one game he has no reason to be losing.

Would you prefer to go back to 5-7 or 6-6?

First. No reasonable person wants heup fired. Second, he isn’t immune from criticism simply based on preseason expectations. I’m not sure why he’s gotten softer as time has went on. Why we have clock management issues. Why the playcalling has been abysmal at the worst times. Why he pretends we have an elite defense. Why he seems to think we’ll lose more than just the game by being aggressive and playing to our strengths. We could realistically be sitting with 1 loss right now but we aren’t. Of course players not executing is a big problem but not being set up to succeed is also a problem. Sad it’s playoffs or bust now and the season is over for all intents and purposes. Maybe next year. Damn I sound like a USCjr fan.
