No, you freaking troll, the first sign that a coach's days are numbered, is the true fanbase is infiltrated with nasty trolls who start trying to tear down any good that is being done by the current administration--any real gains made by a coaching staff who has turned chickensh-t into chicken salad--but not maybe filet mignon yet. After chipping, chipping away, you'll finally get us another Butch Jones or Pruitt. I really wish there was a way to ban azz-holes like you from a true supporting fan-base/The first sign that a coach’s days are numbered is the pumpers start complaining about “entitled fans” for not being happy with losing. They usually make 10 posts a day about how everyone is dumb to want him fired, apropos of nothing. The cycle has started. It won’t be long now.
Not another one!!! Let it go!I’m as disappointed as anyone about the Oklahoma game and us having 3 losses this season.
I don’t think CJH has had his best year as a HC. In game decisions and clock management have been an issue this year. I think that’s fair.
However, if you are ready to move on from CJH right now you are beyond ignorant. Did you forget the last 15 years? They really sucked before CJH. Careful what you idiots wish for.

Need to invest in a new defensive coordinator a secondary coach and a FG kicker.
You mean people who care about the program get upset because short sighted children want to fire every coach that isn’t Nick Saban? Because y’all go on all sorts of social media platforms and act so foolish and embarrassing that freakin Kirk Herbstreit have to tell y’all to shut up?The first sign that a coach’s days are numbered is the pumpers start complaining about “entitled fans” for not being happy with losing. Fanatic doesn’t also include an excuse for a lack of logical analysis. Fanatics can and should also be the most informed and aware. Clearly by so many posts I’ve read the past few days that natural correlation couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s always surprising to me when people say,”I can’t believe these FANS are being so FANATIC…”
If you cared about the program, you wouldn’t have wanted Dooley to get a third year, Butch to get a fifth year, Pruitt to get another game after Georgia State, etc.You mean people who care about the program get upset because short sighted children want to fire every coach that isn’t Nick Saban? Y’all are a blight of the prestige of the program and clearly have very limited football knowledge. So yes it makes sense why they keep making these posts. We suffered a tough loss and you all are using that to press the buttons because… well as your name implies misery loves company.
“I never called for his job but it is clear keeping him is a waste of time that will never win us a championship. Here are a list of coaches with records that couldn’t touch CJH’s but I’m going to use them for the sensationalism of this conversation.”If you cared about the program, you wouldn’t have wanted Dooley to get a third year, Butch to get a fifth year, Pruitt to get another game after Georgia State, etc.
I have not gone anywhere and called for Heupel to lose his job. All I’ve said is it is clear that we are never winning anything of note with him. If you take that as calling for his job, then that’s on you. There are other programs in this conference in recent memory that have fired coaches for doing as well or better than Heupel, so people simply criticizing him when he is plateauing or flat out regressing in several areas 5 years in shouldn’t be taboo.
Heupel has to make changes. If he is unable or unwilling to do so, then at that point you start the firing talk. But if everyone across the state acted like he was God’s Gift like you all apparently would prefer, then he’d never consider making the changes needed.
It was Heupel decision to all of a sudden slow it down to kick the ball instead of going for the TD. They couldn't stop us at that point, we stopped ourselves, so in essence, he did miss the FG.Heuple didn’t miss the kick against Georgia he didn’t commit intentional grounding or throw the interception returned 99yards for TD against Alabama he didn’t throw 2 INTs and let a blitzing LB unabated to QB and fumble against Oklahoma. But I do think his play calling and clock management has had a lot to be desired. Hopefully CJH realizes his issues and that of other coaches and works to change those in off season. He always talks about growth of players well he and his staff need some of that too maybe he sees the need for some staff changes. If this doesn’t happen next season then Danny Dimes needs to have a serious conversation up to possibly making a change himself. Heuple is still young and in the early stages of his coaching career. Let’s hope he addresses what needs to be and gets Vols into the playoffs and elite conversations every year.
Thank you.I’m as disappointed as anyone about the Oklahoma game and us having 3 losses this season.

In the 2021 Purdue game, we didn't lose that game because of Heupel, but because of a huge, bogus B.S. call by the ref. That's why we lost that game. You did say that.
But do you honestly think that Oklahoma team was better than Tennessee?
Damn the predictions. What did you see?
I saw Heupel do is annual “1 loss for no reason “ routine.
2025- Oklahoma
2024- Arkansas
2023- Florida
2022- South Carolina
2021- Purdue
That’s a trash tradition!! But every single year there’s one game he has no reason to be losing.
If we are being honest with ourselves, the only time a head coach at Tennessee has made a significant staff change to save his job and it had an immediate, positive impact on our team's performance was when Fulmer fired Randy Sanders and brought Cutcliffe back. Other than that, I cannot recall another time where a head coach made a staff change, especially at the coordinator position, and it saved the coach's bacon. In fact, in most cases things got worse after the staff change. If you cared about the program, you wouldn’t have wanted Dooley to get a third year, Butch to get a fifth year, Pruitt to get another game after Georgia State, etc.

Yep. I’ve said that for years and I’ve been a fan for 60+ years. Except for 1998 we could probably find one loss every year that is inexplicable. Fulmer was notoriousYou did say that.

He didn’t score five touchdowns against Bama in 2022, either. What does this guy even do? He’s ripping us off!Heuple didn’t miss the kick against Georgia he didn’t commit intentional grounding or throw the interception returned 99yards for TD against Alabama he didn’t throw 2 INTs and let a blitzing LB unabated to QB and fumble against Oklahoma. That was after going 5-6 in a year we were predicted to finish top 5 in the country. "We have a chance to be special" were Fulmer's words before that 2005 debacleIf we are being honest with ourselves, the only time a head coach at Tennessee has made a significant staff change to save his job and it had an immediate, positive impact on our team's performance was when Fulmer fired Randy Sanders and brought Cutcliffe back. Coaches know which way the wind is blowing. There’s a reason Butch had to fill out his staff with guys no one wanted before the 2017 season. No one wants to climb aboard a sinking ship. Heupel really needs to finish strong here or he’s going to have a hard time upgrading. If we are being honest with ourselves, the only time a head coach at Tennessee has made a significant staff change to save his job and it had an immediate, positive impact on our team's performance was when Fulmer fired Randy Sanders and brought Cutcliffe back.
