it wasn't defense or team stats that killed us, it was player personnel and missed bunnies.

Did you watch #7 Duke and #16 Baylor yesterday? They looked pretty bad. No way we aren't a ranked team. This looked like a legit top 10 matchup to me.

I need to see them prove they’re a top 10 team, NC State will drop in the rankings once they play more ranked teams and lose. Just make them earn the ranking by beating UCLA, its early they can climb back up if they beat ranked teams.

IMO we were a little high on our own supply regarding our talent level. Also about how much sheer athletic ability would help. We’re very similar to last year’s team.

That said, it’s way early, and our team will improve a lot. Great start for Coop, and Civil is the real deal. Will pretty much go as far as those two can carry us this year.

I'd like to see us run more for Barker. She took the 3rd most FG attempts but I felt like a lot of that came late - and in any case, I'd still love to see her get more looks. She's so skilled.

I think they might have been looking to get it to coop or Mia and then right back to Robertson for the shot. But didn’t work out that way.

Almost exactly what I expected. Don’t think we were very focused after all the turmoil last week. I said 85-82 and we lost 80-77 so 3 point spread. Bit frustrating but hopefully this will set us up for success later in the year.

NC State is athletic and well coached.

My biggest complaint from last year was that we shoot too many 3's .... We saw more of that today, but overall, I think we have a good team that will be much better in 2 months.

9-33 (27.3) 3-pt is not good enough in this offense and will get you beat. Saw this last year when LVs struggled from deep.

Need to develop some shooters in a hurry. Playing a bunch of FR with a couple of vet transfers in their first real contest together so lots of room for improvement. Saw many positives on both sides of the ball. Just hope the FR don't hit the proverbial wall before tournament time.

We scheduled hard so we have to play better. Still have to go to UCLA and Stanford. Louisville on a neutral court. Have to go to UConn. Have to go to SC, LSU, Oklahoma, and we do have Texas at home. If ever there was an uneven schedule against ranked teams we have it.

Were going to lose some games cause someone put together the ugliest road schedule a team can have. To go along with were on the road against all the best SEC teams.

I said before the season that all this schedule will do is make it possible for a good team to have worse record than they should, get a bad seed in the tournament because of it, and then get bounced early because of the bad seed.

This was a terrible thing to do to a team full of new players and freshmen. It is not setting them up for success at all.

Early in the season, and we’ll get better. Losing Ruby hurts a lot in this game when Zee gives you next to nothing and the freshmen are freshmen. I’ll say that seeing the troubling trend of close but no cigar against top teams(outside of UConn) continuing into this year does give me pause. At some point, it’s not just bad luck or refs….

True because you seldom get a game called evenly on the road. Today we were a foul machine and NC St did not touch anybody evidently.
