this muscle statement about Latham is why I’m excited about Minus and her body makeup cause CKC brought in a top notch s&c coach he is gonna get Minus stronger with a more tighter muscle frame and be a real force in the paint and free throw area both offensively and defensively. I feel like this is what coach is seeing when she recruited her

Vols 89 Wolfpack 74. I’m being generous to NCSU. Wolfs are not deep, will be ragged by the fourth, but it should be over long before then. Lady Vols might hang close to 100 on them. There are not many teams this year that will slow down the Vol offense much, they will lead the nation in scoring or be damned close to it. Even a fool like me can see that coming.

LV’s are deep and they will be fresh the entire game with their wave substitutions, plus they have the talent now to capitalize on that. I have no idea how their defense will be, it was middling at best last season in the conference, closer to bottom tbh, but I suspect that won’t matter much this year as long as they hit threes at a clip of 33% or better, which is likely with their lineup. CKC’s system is real, the rest of WBB has not caught up yet. It just took getting the right athletes to fill the slots 1-10, which she has now imo. I can’t imagine any team looking fwd to playing UT this year, they are going to wear out most teams. They look like hell on wheels going fwd this year, I would not bet against them vs any team.

UT might even beat UConn again this year. Very good chance imo. Not many SEC teams will beat UT this year. Maybe 2-3 at most. I could see this UT team only losing 2-3 games in conference, maybe less if they hit threes at a clip above 33% as a team. It’s a breakout season for them, again imo but it seems like it is a given. I’m not prone to hyperbole, but I see the wave coming. Most others kinda see it also but are afraid to say it because it hasn’t happened yet with that system. There are other teams trying to copy cat already. Flattery. In a few more years plenty of teams will be running the same system, it’s the great equalizer. Like spread offense in CFB.

Everyone thought you couldn’t recruit great players to this system until CKC showed you can…….

What? Are we seeing the same board? Not that it matters in the current environment but this is not remotely true. And simple to disprove by counting posts. Why do this?

Have no idea how this is going to go, just hope we come out with a win. If we can do that we will be undefeated going against UCLA at the end of the month. We need to limit turnovers (Cooper) and shoot well from deep. They only played 7 players over 10 mins in their exhibition so will be interesting to see if we can wear them down in the second half. Go Lady Vols 🍊

Won’t be able to watch live. Hoping for a really competitive game.

I do think we will drop this game. Just too many distractions the last week. I’ll be very impressed if they are focused and can get the win.

Sadly I’m gonna pick NC State 85 Tennessee 82.

Worth noting that CKC has publicly said that she "does not care who starts." Starting is not an important criterion for this team and it remains a bit of mystery why one players starts in one game and then is a sub in another.

I mention this point only because if we expect players to rapidly adapt to the CKC system, so should we. We have had a year of seeing starters rotated with a new group after 3-5 minutes, it is pretty clear that "starter versus non-starter" is not how this team is encouraged to think. It is more "be ready to bring the energy when your high intensity 3 to 5 minute rotation is up."
