You don't have to stop doing fun things because you lost a game.

We lost three of the first four Checker Neyland games and it's still a great tradition.
Glad to see that we have some VN'ers on here with some common sense. I PREFER the orange and white too, but It's the players who go out and sweat through practices, shoulder class loads of studying, put up with fans whining, and may or probably not make it as pros. So, I shut up and hope there's pride in those jerseys, whatever color our boys wear in games.

I don't think the uniforms were the problem last night.

That was a failure on multiple levels of coaching and involving every phase of the game.

I haven't been that pissed leaving Neyland in several years.
I don’t think they were either but we aren’t elite and when you show up with all of that hype and consistently lay eggs, it’s not worth it.

Time to stop with the gimmicks. These players need to learn the value of putting on that orange jersey. Yeah I know players like it but Alabama players are apparently seeing the importance of wearing those crimson jerseys.
Don’t worry. Once we go back to Adidas we will be back to ugly alternative jerseys.

Other than that it doesn’t matter. It’s a shirt. If the players like it then that’s all that matters.

Well that and if people buy them and they make the university money. More money = better recruits.

The endzone dance ******** can stop. The random gang sign flashing after every first down can stop.

And so can whining about the jerseys and the helrmet colors.Thats an old fogey take. We wear the current traditional jerseys for our main rivals. Black on or about Halloween and Smoke Grey mixed somewhere in there. Two games out of 12 isn't that bad.

No offense, but the only color most of the players perform for is green. Sorry to sound so jaded, but....

Man I was at the first blackout game on Halloween it was amazing when they warmed up in regular jerseys and ran out through the T in the black ones. I’m ok with it for home Halloweenish games. I like checker neyland also. Looks cool on tv. Smokey grey eh. It’s ok.

Dark mode is great for gingers. Tennessee Orange really clashes with our complexion, so I appreciate being able to have darker clothing options. But complexion or not. I'll still wear that orange too.

The colors of the University of Tennessee Volunteers are Orange and White. Dark mode gimmicks and hype videos, as slick as they are, and the distractions they bring do not win football games. Fundamentals and execution win football games. Respecting tradition, which include The Maxims, are part of the fundamentals.

Full disclosure I am a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms. I love the orange over white, all orange, all white, and white over orange.

Having said that, the superstitions and all when it comes to uniforms is so stupid. Weren't we undefeated in dark mode before last night? Why is it always the non-traditional look that gets called out? People used to think the orange pants were bad luck which was beyond stupid. I don't want to be Oregon but having a dark mode and a Smokey Gray is fine for one game each a year. As long as we don't mix and match with the regular uniforms I'm good with them.

Silly stuff like this is why we won't see the orange helmets again, which I really thought looked good. Shame.

It's not "random gang signs", they are spelling VOL with their fingers. Even the soccer moms in my section do it.
