I own an accounting firm and another business. I know numbers way too well.

If you are top three in spending on football in the SEC and top fifteen in the country, should that make it acceptable for an eight win regular season? I would say it wouldnā€™t based on the numbers.

If you were to purchase a business and you paid for the second best option out of 16, would you accept it performing at the middle tier level? No, you should expect to stay at the top and make slight changes to be the top.

I flip businesses and own an accounting firm. I guess I am different in results and success. I expect big returns for my money.

I pray we get to 9-3 and ten with a bowl.

I actually just wrote we made the playoffs twice during Heupel, but it only felt that way. We were the number one team in the nation, and had beaten Saban's Alabama and Florida, too. Then the New Years six bowl. I've seen video of Al Wilson at that time, and he was thrilled. Nobody wants to go back to the 5-7 and champion of life time.

Coach has shown the ability to change just this offseason with revamping the offense. Let him continue to prove himself. This sucks, but he is our guy. He is Tennessee.

Yeah but the LOTM are stupid fans who have no clue about the rules, the roster being very young, and how good the recruiting class is. They did not get the toy they wanted for Christmas and are pitching a fit like the brats they are.

Criticizing that call is ignorant. We have an entire season of film that set that play up for him to be wide open. You can't get more open than that for an easy 1st down completion. He is an SEC level athlete. This criticism that we are asking too much of him by asking him to catch that pass is bonkers. He can catch a wide open pass from 5 yards away. Kits ran the coverage off because they know we like to go to him. The play call is actually very deeply planned out. It is also probably why he was in instead of Davis. We almost never use Davis in that exact 12 personnel grouping.

I look at the passing game from last year to this year as some truth to Heuple fixing things. I am disappointed we lost and am more disappointed that we lost two winnable games. We have the best atmosphere in college football and a good culture overall from what I have seen. The alternatives are not better. No idea who I would even hire if I made it past Kiffin. Even Kiffin may not be an upgrade.

Gonna be a lot of opportunities in the off-season to infuse more talent. Losing basically all of the defensive playmakers. We're about to see how serious they are.

When youā€™re making the same mistakes every weekend. When you know going into a season that youā€™re probably going to lose at least two games, one of which will probably be an embarrassment. When you go into a season worried about every road game because you know you suck on the road. Then I would say youā€™re midtier. Or the very least you have a problem somewhere.

I think everyone is appreciative of Heupel bringing us out of the dregs of SEC play. But this also happened with significant financial commitments, transfer portal making it easier to quickly build a team, and easier recruiting due to NIL.

The goal is championships and at some point you canā€™t just bring up The fact that Jeremy Pruitt was one of the worst coaches of all time.

Our memories are not as bad as you believe.
Maybe youā€™re the one with memory problems.

The Nico situation has done nothing but improve our situation. We upgraded, so stop using that tired ole excuse.

A lot you said is true so most are withholding a judgement and waiting to see how things play out.

Back to the memories: 9-3 , good recruiting rankings, Butch Jones got us looking pretty good.
Some red flags but , nah we ainā€™t šŸ˜§!
We remember how fast that went south!

Ainā€™t predicting that to happen again but could go either way. Iā€™ll withhold my judgement until a later date

I am not overly pleased with Heupel but heā€™s not far away from being elite but the problem is will he be willing to do the hard task of letting the weak links go. He needs a GMā€¦best one in CFB is a UT guy go get him to help out. Drop a bag at Sam Pittmans door and make the OL great again. Then upgrade the DC with a proven experienced DC.
