'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus Oklahoma Pre-game/Game Thread

And you think they’re gonna leave him wide open if he’s the one in there? Davis has never been the 2nd TE in that formation. The whole world would have known what was coming if Davis was in.

You’re a 4* player that had offers from every major program. Make the easiest ****ing catch you’ll ever have

I knew we’d agree finally on something! Play call was perfect. Execution not so much

I was at the game. Already put my thoughts in the football talk thread.

Our fans suck. Get rid of the WiFi. And the DJ.

I’m embarrassed by this team. Have been all season.

Ready to fahr everybody.

This wasn't just a loss tonight. It was a significant step back, we have needs that likely won't be filled with best available. Watch the recruiting, this staff is going to be tested, hope they can win 3/4 of the battles........... That's been the difference in us taking the next step for years. We're right there at the second level looking to make the next step. We really need a break.

Defense wasn’t the problem tonight. Just wasn’t.
No, you’re right. I went to the biggest glaring hole the whole season. Our offense wasn’t where it should be. Joey looked scared from the git (don’t know why), missed drops and they never looked cohesive, but when offense gets in the weeds, there’s got to be a contingency plan in place to makeup the deficiencies.

It’s just an overall lack of complimentary football all season.

True. But the offense has to take advantage when the defense gets the ball back and not give it up 3 times as well. We should have been up at least 17-0 to start.

Doesn’t matter at this point. Play for a worthless bowl. This team is coached by losers. Time for an overhaul.

It’s not the nfl. It ain’t playoffs or busts. Can still have a couple more fun wins this season and reach a rare 10 win season. I hate the expanded playoffs. It’s making fans lose what makes college football special

You’d have thought we were playing in an opponent’s backyard.

Am I the only one that thought our home crowd wasn’t as loud as they have before? Or do I need hearing aids? I’ve thought that this whole season.

Neyland seems to be really lacking this year. I can’t say for sure i haven’t been, but zero false start from OU or UGA?? Bizzare

I said it earlier this season and got chastised for it.

They've priced out the fans that made noise, the open air at the top let's noise out, then the rich people seats down close whonare never in their seats.

Perhaps that’s it. Even the announcer tonight noted how the home field advantage wasn’t there anymore in the 4th in a one score game lol. I think our crowd has also been quick to lose energy when even one play goes against us sometimes.

The worst tickets in the stadium at $350+. This is an NFL crowd now, the rowdy bunch have been priced out. I've been to the Falcons and the Titans stadium and I'll never attend another NFL game. It's a social event.

I remember thinking during the UGA game it wasnt that loud, but I remember last year when I went to the UK game, Neyland just didnt feel the same.
My comparison is 21 Ole Miss, and I just dont think Neyland is at that level anymore.

Last legit time I can remember thinking “this place sounds loud as hell right now” was the punt return against A&M in 23 or Wrights first play TD run vs UGA in 23

Bro I don’t care if he’s a freshman, you have to catch that. If Davis is in the game they’re not letting him run as wide open as they let the freshman lol
I know you want to make every excuse in the world for Heupel but this makes zero sense. Because he is a freshmen he is wide open? What in the actual

We squandered real opportunity yet again. Lost to UGA at home with a bad kick. Lost to OU at home with conservative play. Had a real chance at the playoffs due to an easy schedule and a league with a lot mediocrity. Heupel just doesn’t have the cutting edge needed for elite play.

To me, it just doesn't seem the same at all. I noticed in the first home game of the season and it has continued.
That is just my opinion and I may be wrong (which I usually am).
Have the wild-eyed, berserker Scots-Irish natives been priced out and replaced with this new configuration?

The mood was weird. Almost like the crowd was just waiting and watching. Not the sustained deafening energy we needed from down low in section B
