Honestly I think the same as our OP, I think this is about as far as we can get and honestly we’ve been out coached a couple other times this year

He just got out coached by a dumbass that threw the ball in a situation where the game was over and gave us life is the scary part. I want pre 2023 Heupel back.

Josh is the best coach we have had since Kiffin. Horrible clock management coach and keeping his friends as coaches on his staff are his weakness.

Besides that, he's an offensive mastermind and has made Tennessee relevant again.

You really want to go up against:
Penn State
Florida
LSU
UCLA
Virginia tech
Auburn
Mississippi state
Arkansas
UAB
Clemson (likely)

And probably even more p5 teams this year to find a new coach? Someone is going to end up with a disaster

I don’t think he has ever fired a coach he hired. You won’t get rid of Heupel without getting rid of him too.

There is no answer to this question, there can only be 1 champion. Its not who is the best coach its who recruits the best players and develops them. To recruit the best players the cost this year was 40 million dollars. If you want to win next year the cost will be higher. In the end what's the point?

Not the year to try and hire a coach. I’d like to see what this team does with a healthy defense. People forget we lost multiple defensive players to the draft and our two best corners have been out all season, both probably high draft picks. Not excusing some of the questionable play calling but when your offense has to keep you in the game it’s much harder to win

That's the issue, we literally can't fire him this year even if he loses the rest of the SEC games, but we need to be trying to find a way out, and when I good hire comes up in a year or two jump on it.
