President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Yeah, fair enough.... I did another search and found the average wages at WMT brings them to $31,616 which is still above poverty wages.

And....

14,500/1,600,000 = .0090625
Rent in knoxville is going to be 1,400/mo. And that's not luxury. Car payment plus insurance 400 add 150/mo gas and oil. Electric, water another 200. How much is left over for food clothes entertainment etc.

Maybe mama has to go to work too. If there is no other half, maybe they have to get a roommate. Ride the bus. Damn dude.

You are making the minority the case, and it just isn't

Per Demandsage.com, the average income in the US is $62,192/year. (Up 4.6% YoY) Per Salary.com, the average salary at Walmart is $101,830/year. (The low end they cite is $89,317/year) It seems to me that you are hyper focused on a handful of employees that are working and below the poverty line, but I would contend that that is a conscious choice in order to get government bennies. The poverty level for 2025 is $21,250 for a family of 2. Do you still think Walmart is paying poverty wages?

Or if that doesn't do it for you. The percentage of Americans on SNAP is 12.3%. The percentage of Walmart employees receiving SNAP benefits is 0.9%.

You picked an awfully strange hill to plant a flag.
The average WMT salary is over ,$100,000 you are wrong. Also consider 22,000 active duty military receives snap.

If the average annual compensation for Walmart is north of $100k, then they must be including the Walton family in those calculations.

Edit: I see it's average salary (which excludes most Walmart employees), not average comp.

Median income in the US is less than $40k, given the income disparity in the US, trying to use the average income as representative, is disingenuous at best.

Also, the average hourly wage of non-salaried (the vast majority of their payroll) employees at Walmart is $18.25/hour.

Funny that all other presidents can make changes to the WH but not for Trump.
Democrats have NO power at all to tell anyone what they can or can't do to the WH.

You want to know why there is such an “income disparity“, it’s because for 30+ years our education system has been pushing college, college, college and disregarding trades. What we have been left with is high school graduates that are unemployable for anything other than minimum wage jobs.

they whine about inflation from tarrifs, yet want to pay living wages for stock boys and cashiers. That is their solution to solving deep seated problems, which includes personal growth and responsibility.
