I can get the Texas/Vandy game on the ESPN app. Someone suggested it’s because it’s on ABC. I haven’t checked others, but with the UT game on ABC, I’m hopeful.Anyone figured out a fix for the youtubetv debacle? The ones that have the Disney bundle but can't watch live espn networks?
My sister said Sling TV has a daily package of $6. It doesn't have ABC but does have ESPN.
Also, she pointed out that she is watching the TX vs Vandy game on ESPN3. I tried it and it denied me on ESPN but offered up on ESPN3.
In theory, that should work for the Tennesse game. ABC games show up as a ESPN3 option on the app.Anyone figured out a fix for the youtubetv debacle? The ones that have the Disney bundle but can't watch live espn networks?

True. Lesser of evils though. They're just a middle man taking waaaayyy too much margin to be a middle man. The content owners should be the ones making the most profit, but YTTV is charging $90 to pass along $20 of content that I want. They even said in their email "we will refund you $20 to make up for the Disney content you're not getting."
My ESPN app doesn't give me access to any of the games on ABC. It says I have to log-in with my TV provider. I'm sorry. I pay ESPN directly. Why the hell should I have to enter my TV provider?!? So, now they've lost an ESPN subscriber.Anyone figured out a fix for the youtubetv debacle? The ones that have the Disney bundle but can't watch live espn networks?

I don't hate YTTV, but they aren't producing content, so I don't think they deserve the massive markup they're charging. But your post mentioned that Disney doesn't care of cable companies go out of business, so I was addressing that.Cool so you don’t hate cable companies/bundlers just all telecom companies including verizon, ATT, etc
I get that but then why did you start with hate for YoutubeTV, they have nothing to do with Internet…Now google their parent is also Evil.

@jave36 and anyone else wanting to fully understand this, I highly suggest you read what Clay Travis has to say in this article. It mirrors what I heard and saw when I worked with the Mousey people.my friend, what Disney charges each provider for their contact is no where close to 20, think more like double. It wasn’t 20, 10 years ago.
The Disney properties is the largest part of your cable/bundle costs.
This is why Disney walked away from some of the big time sports because they could not get enough out of cable/bundlers to make it work and why you now see deep pocket Apple and Amazon buy into those so they can get subscribers.
It costs a lot to stream and hence why you see cable companies trying to do internet and phone. If not for the non content stuff, the cable companies would be bankrupt.
And that’s where your thinking is flawed. Their markup is not what you think it is on the content.I don't hate YTTV, but they aren't producing content, so I don't think they deserve the massive markup they're charging. I don't think it's evil for producers to find ways around distributors. Especially if the distributors are marking up the product a lot.
I just don't see the value in the middle men I guess. If YTTV is only refunding me half of what they're saving by not paying Disney, then my feelings for them are now even more negative when I used to be mostly neutral toward them.my friend, what Disney charges each provider for their contact is no where close to 20, think more like double. And the cable/bundlers have begged Disney for over two decades to allow them to go alacart but Disney refused. Go read the clay Travis article.I just don't see the value in the middle men I guess. I don't care anything about any other content, so I'm already feeling ripped off by having to pay for all the non Disney stuff. If they're going to pocket half of the savings from cutting me off from the only content I care about, then I really don't have any concern for their continued existence.
Sucks I'll have to eventually use the garbage Hulu experience, but middle men need to add more value than that to justify their existence.
